[release] Bz Skin Changer For Avetunes

Here is my skin changer for ave tunes.

This includes 9 skins linked together with a skin changer "base" In every skin except the #40 series mousehovering over the top right corner will display an x to close the skin and return to the skin changer menu. Some skins use the lower right corner to expand and contract. The skins with album art usually use the album art to play/puase the widget although I may have changed a few of them (cant remember)

for the #40 skins.. once you load the first skin you can click on the "flip it" icon in the lower right corner to bring up a menu to select other options.

TO use:

Copy the skin changer folder to your skins directory and load "skin changer" from the avetunes skins menu. Then click on a skins image to load a "preview" of the skin. If it it the skin you want then click done. If you would like to pick a different skin then click the skins image again to go back to selection mode.

I have been wanting to do this for awhile now and I am glad its done. Please note that three of these skins were inspired by crni's work. All images are my own except for the three "cdcover style widgets" which contain some of my work and an image by brainbug (the glossy cd cover) and one image by crni (the cd insert)

I contacted crni prior to releasing but I have not heard back. If he does not want me to use his cd image than I will replace it.

I found two bugs... I have uploaded a bugfix zip that contains the two affected skin.ini's. You should just be able to copy them into your skin changer folder. They are for the mouseover1 --> 41right skin and Mouseover8-->Cd Case skin. Fixes improper play/pause position for 41 and a bad hover placement for Cd Case.

depends on what you mean by programmed.... but this "skin" actually contains a total of 52 skin.ini's meshed together to create this. Wouldnt really call it programming though Although maybe it sorta is.

They work fine, except the sticky note won't show the title. I have the fonts installed, restarted Avedesk, Windows (XP), but it won't work. Not that it matter much to me, because it's not my favorite.

heres an update to the skin changer... this only includes the changed files so you will need to download the original if you havent already...

Download the files and then drop mouseover7 and mousever9 into your skins\skin changer directory

Okay...

This update adds more functinality to two of the skins, the polaroid and the record skins...

It adds a second view with controls for the record skin instead of just showing it closed and it adds hover back/forward buttons for the polaroid skin. Hope you like.

the cd flip feature is incredibly useful!! not to mention it has a working version of konfminitunes :naughty:

this skin alone might juz stop me from loading up samurize/winamp for quite some time

Yes two skins can run at the same time... Just load a skin then right click and choose duplicate desklet then click the skin changer hotspot to go bck to the skin changer and select a differnt skin

Good to know,thanks...and can you make plaese only a CD (with Drag and Drop support) skin, withot buttnos and other's things, that will only show the CD cover plaese ?

Is this running extremely slow for anyone else. I run it and my systems slows to a crawl it took me about 5 minutes to get one of the skins highlighted so I could push done. ( P4 2.4 ghz and 512mb of ram Winxp pro sp1 )

edit: I didn't say anything psoitive the thing looks awesome once I get it runing right I'll like it even more. thanks for making it.

Make sure you arent using any shadows from avedesk. It will not work good with shadows. Other than that im not sure what the problem could be. Lemme know...

I don't have any shadows on. the mouse hover itself is taking nearly 20 sec to register then when I click the skin nothing happens. I have the bug fix and updates too.

hmmm could you tell me how you have the skin installed... directory structure?

yup thats how it is structured right now it may be the computers graphic card Im gonna try avedesk on a lower quality setting to see if that fixes it.

Edit: even on lowest setting it is still taking close to 20 sec for the mouse over to register.

I'll try it again later on my home pc to see if it is happening there as well.

Edit2: (Scratch that I didn't realize you needed to double click it.)
