Aqua-Soft ForumsI see a lot of screenshots in which people have Saurize set up with a weather script and the screen output is a graphic of the weather (sun, clouds, etc) instead of the dull Weather font that is usually used. I saw previous posts about this but there didnt seem to be any way to change the image aside from doing it manually. Is there a way to do this and can anyone point me to a place that I can get this type of configuration on my machine ?

Someone found a way to change graphic automatically, but you have to put the script in Windows Scheduled Tasks.
I am not able to maket this script work yet!

I see the city list but where do you get the city ID information?
So is this the city ID?

No, you have to replace the one already there by your City:
Before:

After:
const CITY_ID= "VVNXQTAwNTQ="

I'm thinking there must be something wrong with the InterceptVector website. I can get the scripts working but the XML file that is returned when I put my city ID in is basically empty. It doesnt contain the city name or any weather information. I tried the setup with several different cities and they all are the same.
I tried to put the script link directly in IE also, and the result is empty!
maybe the website is down I don't know!
Thanks bluebyt - but all the fields are still empty. The only thing showing is °C - which should not be there because I answered false to celcius.
The xml site is having database problems atm, so nothing will display correctly. It would be nice if someone wrote a simular script, but one that can parse your favorite weather website's html. Then it wouldnt be so prone to downtime. However xml is the best solution, too bad the sites having these issues

I changed the script/skin a little to match the original weather widget a bit better.
Here's what it looks like:
I added just one day's forcast in advance so my desktop wasnt so cluttered.
If anyone wants the new 'skin' I can post it 
But until the site's fixed it's not of much use.

HOORAY !!! The InterceptVector website database is working again. I got my script working and I can confirm that the image does indeed change. Here is a shot of my Samurize. Its someone elses graphics and config that I recolored and edited to match my PixOS.
Binary, I would like that. I think all we really need is one days forecast in advance. Other thing I noticed my displayed skin shows sunshine for 1st two days then rain rain and prtly cloudy, but the visual icon shows the little suns, no rain clouds on those days even though it says rain. What gives?

I changed it a little so the weather window is almost double size so it will show tomorrows forecast but I left the original sized window in the skins directory should you choose to have it like my screenshot up above. Also you will of course need to change various things about it such as the hard drive letters, net interface, your zip code in the weather script, etc.

Oops. Sorry bout that. I'm uploading an updated one now to the same URL. But to save you the download you can just go into the PixOS.ini in your config directory and change all instances of the path C:\Program Files\Samurize_084b\Skins\LCD Metal V3 - Aqua\ to C:\Program Files\Samurize_084b\Skins\PixOS\
I did but for some reason it's not reading it.
This is the file path and the images are in skin folder - but I get an error message saying can't locate
C:\Samurize_085b\Skins\PixOS\dropshadow.png\weather.png
edit - i forgot to change the path in script!

I have the worst luck with this weather script... well not this one..but all of them. No matter how much i try i will always get either Hamilton Canada's weather, or San Diegos weather. It will also only show me temps in celsius even though i told it i wanted fahrenheit
does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it
