I set all my shortcut widgets to the grayscale effect, really fits my lovely desktop well. And as you can see I am highlighting my WMP icon, man do I love AveDesk.

It does - how about a desktop based on Hieronymus Bosch or Pieter Breughel's

medieval paintings and the widgets skinned accordingly?

(While being as morbid as Deadzombie )
