What's the point of this thread? We already have a monthly desktop thread in the Aqua Discussion forum.
Its for people who want to show off ave apps, montly desktop everyone is so goddamn uptight.
You can't even say anything without a desktop image, you'll get flamed instantly. It kind of lost its reputation, when i first joined it was a lively thread, with people like taha and sone pointing things out, people helping others make their desktops look better. Now that thread feels like a ****hole.
Thats like saying whats the point of the dock screenshot thread...

No flames that Ive seen, although a few people disagree that this is needed.
A FLAME would be along the lines of "Whos the retard that thought this useless piece of crap thread up? They need to move out of their Moms basement and get a life." (example only)
That hasn't happened.
I happen to agree that this thread is a little pointless. It's good to enjoy AndreasV's hard work, and to support him and the people that have contributed to AveDesk 1.1. However that can be done in the Monthly desktops thread just as well as it can be done here.

How do you get your taskbar clock to be offset to one side so you dont cover it up with the search bar?
does anyone one think its funny that the last 5 posts were all from the news posters.

I'm all for having this thread, though, to show off icons and desklets for avedesk in particular and not just to show off your desktop theme in general.

It could be bubbabyte's latest updates to his VSs which included a Tiger alternative.
I couldn't agree more with having this thread!!! I mean......why are we so quick to get undone about such a little thing? C'mon this is a messageboard where I thought that we were entitled to at least a little bit of good, clean, fun every now and then as long as we keep it tasteful. Plus, a simple thread like this can be advantageous to someone like myself who may be having a few difficulties with a small number of widgets. It's nice to see what some of you others have going on b/c it then gives me a chance to see who I can ask about certain desklets.

BTW-----Zire what is the widget that you are using that has that incredible picture of Heidi in it??? I love her and must know what it is you're using to display that picture..........(and wouldn't mind having a copy of that picture if you would be willing to share via PM..............I have hundreds of her that I will share also!!!)

WOW! I really cannot believe that anyone could even feel so strongly against this thread exisiting. LOL! It's up to the individual whether or not they have to even so much as open up any particular thread much less scroll through it and then post on top of it all. It's a MESSAGEBOARD..............not everyone will ever be in love with every single topic that a thread is started about but then again......it's only a messageboard. Hopefully even if we may not like something that is discussed...........we all should wake up the next morning alive!!!
