Is there a bug ?
Thanks for this new desklet. It's fun, beautiful, useful, .... And the puzzle is not 'too hard' to solve but impossible.
Well, there might be a little pb with your algorithm which shuffle the puzzle
Indeed, I tried two times yesterday and, the two times, it finished with an imposible state :
Can't have a screenshot now so will be 'text art' until tonight at least
If I have at the beginning (before the shuffle) :
XX 02 03 04
05 06 07 08
09 10 11 12
13 14 15 16
I have at the end, after the shuffle and after 'trying' to solve :
XX 02 03 08
05 06 07 04
09 10 11 12
13 14 15 16
If you don't believe these 2 states are incompatibles, I can try to find something about it with google... :smartass:
NB : or perhaps you knew about this and you just hoped our brains would burn after hours trying to solve an impossible pb

What a great idea to become the master of the world !
Edit : found the proof ! Sam Loyd's fifteen
I can't "finish" this thing either... Hopefully it's Ave's humour not our stupidity. ![]()
Heh, ya I finished the first couple I did fine ... but there was one I could have sworn was not possible.
Its' my stupidity
Haha, I didnt know there was a theory behind the shuffling, I simply randomly shuffled all the tiles a couple (~200) times. Guess like that result in impossible situations... stupid me, I'll fix it tonight ![]()
Heinzoliger, thanks for the link.
