SysStats Weather by Duckie and DeadZombie

Installation:

Download Futura Fonts and install them FIRST!

Unrar entire contents of Weather.rar into SysStats folder.

Instructions:

Add new SysStats instance

Load weather config

right click weather and choose 'Configure Meters'

Under meters, choose 'Weather' then click 'Configure'

Change '12345' to your zip code

go to right column and change 'city' and 'city under' to your city name.

click ok

Done.

(*any further issues mean you need to find your correct code at weather.com)

Notice:

Issues with imagery not appearing (or appearing sporadically) is due to the lack of complete imagery, but you can fix that by downloading the StarDock icons(found in SysStats Pack 1).

Extras:

Download the 'location finder' and run it to find your city code.

Make sure to remember or write down the number you are given.

Use this to edit line 28 in your 'Weather.ini' file

Shortcut=www.weather.com/outlook/travel/local/XXXXXXXX?from

changing XXXXXXXX to your city code

I didn't do very much, except for providing an incorrect prototype. Duckie is being too kind by adding my name to this -> he cleaned up all the images, fixed all the code, switched alot of stuff around I had wrong... now that I think about it, he probably deserves ALL the credit!

You need to adjust the size of the 'desklet' via the AveDesk Control Panel

Open the control panel

Select the SysStats weather config

Right click and select Default Properties Dialog

Change the height to 260 ... That's what mine is anyways.

Hmm, im having a weird problem. When i load weather.ini (C:\Program Files\AveDesk\Desklets\SysStats\configs) nothing seems to appear. I extracted everything in weather.rar to C:\Program Files\AveDesk\Desklets\SysStats. I tried rebooting AveDesk as well but that didn't solve my problem either. I think i have all the necessary weather icons too. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Go to the Properties of the desklet. The x position should be much too high for your resulution.

That probably the desklet is off the screen, go control panel in Avedesk and right click on the desklet properties change the position until you see the desklet!

for some reason after changing the zip code and the location code didn't update it

i clicked update, restarted avedesk and even windows but it doesn't seem to be using the new url for some odd reason. i can't seem to figure it out...
