Like suggested before try and locate a store with them and try them out its the only way to be sure each players preferences are different when it comes to the guitar...

@ Laurel - I tip my pointy hat at you. Very few people can pull that off.
Been playing the guitar and piano for about 24 years. My speciality is probably classical music, especially on the piano, but guitar - well, apart from classical and flamenco type music, I play mostly everything that's acoustic.
Do a bit of composing and did a bit of tabbing some years back when I had time for it.
Got 8 guitars, but favourites are Takamine's, both for classical and acoustic (steel).
Been playing guitar for nearly 11 years...
Third year bachelor of music student about to do music technology degree aswell.
Build my own guitars. 
Although I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a Js... Go chromeboy. 
[EDIT]: I just noticed a few Vai fans out there (Or Jem fans). I just saw Mr. Vai perform last thursday. His technique was awesome. Very inspiring.
It was an awesome show. 
I've been playing guitar for 9+ years, used to play piano/keyboards, but I haven't had access to one in ages. Also use vocals for deep DEEP screaming/singing...

I play the Alto Saxophone. I've been doing it for 9 years now in the concert and jazz bands at the various schools I've been in over the years. It's a Jupiter deluxe Alto Sax. It's gotten a little dinged and scratched over the years, but a musical instrument is like fine wine: they only get better with age

I play guitar as well, i recently ditched my Fender squire to get an epiphone sg G-400. It was used, but in good shape and i think it plays as well as a gibson. If i were to get more guitars i would get a gibson firebird, or a gibson explorer. Southern rock, blues, classic rock are my favorite genres
Well, I play the piano, Guitar,drum. But my preferred is the keyboard
Because I can touch hundred of instruments with the piano/keyboard.

I've been playing guitar for over 20 years, been in quite a few cover bands in that period of time, and had been in THIS BAND for 8 years until we broke up last October. We played clubs all over the NorthEast almost every weekend, and it really burned me out to the point that I've given up playing altogether. My dual rectifier Boogie, 2 Epiphone Les Paul's and Raven PRS copy (all leftys) are sitting collecting dust.
The best gig we had was in 1998 we played in a little club in Haverhill, MA which was owned by the ex-drummer of the band Extreme. We had a 2-night gig there, and one of the nights a whole pile of famous musicians showed up, namely Gary Cherone (who was singing for Van Halen at the time), Mike Mangini and Pat Badger, also ex-Extreme guys, Barry Goodreau from the band Boston and 3 of the guys from Godsmack. Again, remember this is 1998, before Godsmack became huge, just after their first album was released.
Being a cover band, we just happened to cover "Whatever", so they obliged by coming up and playing it with us. Our singer let Sully sing obviously, while he videotaped it, here's a ****ty screencap (I'm the bald fat guy):
A lot of memories, but it's so nice to be retired from that lifestyle, it just doesn't work well when you have a full-time job, plus getting older doesn't help.

HAHAHA!!! Ya, I noticed you are a lefty too. We're a rare breed, and discriminated against also!! Lefty guitars are a lot harder to come by and more expensive and aren't available in as many models and options as righties.
I've really been thinking of selling my Boogie, but it's so road-weary and beaten, even though it doesn't look that great the sound is just as good as it was when I bought it years ago. Blows away any other amp you could possibly put next to it, hands down. I always ran straight in, no distortion or overdrive pedals, the Boogie has the most awesome overdrive I've ever heard! All I used was Cry Baby wah and an Ernie Ball volume pedal, no need for extra crap, just pure balls! :rock:
My best friend just bought righty's and switched the strings around. He got used to it after a while. I also learned how to play upside down, where the strings are righty, but plays lefty. I don't think he ever had a guitar for more than a year. He always ended up breaking it. He was obsessed with Pete Townshed and how he smashed his guitar.
I am left handed at writing, but right at everything else. Wierd

yeah, it took me so long to find the lefty 7-string, and finding lefty gibson explorers is impossible!
yeah, the boogie seems great. it would really help me get that prog. rock tone i'm going for.

A lefty Explorer would be really cool, don't think I've ever seen one around here.

I flipped righties too for a while, not to the extreme though.
The bass player in my last band was a lefty at everything-writing, golfing, baseball-except for playing bass. It really bugged me that I just couldn't get the hang of playing guitar righty, I tried like hell when I first started but it just felt a lot more natural and easier lefty.
I´m a dedicated (8 years) bass player... just haven´t tried no other instrument since i felt in love with bass (the instrument, not the fish). And my major influence is Classic Prog Rock (Yes, Genesis, PinkFloyd and, of course, the almight Jethro Tull).
I have a Cherutti 4 strings... CHerutti is a luthier here in Brasil, maker of great bass... necktrough, wood finish, gootoh hardware and two Seymour BassLines Humbucking Pickups with lever to turn each one in single coil. An amazing bass.
My ampli is a Meteoro (Brasilian too) PrecisionBass 240W.
I´m lefty, but play the right way.
There is a guitar player here on Brazil called Edgar Scandurra (from a banda called IRA!) that is left, but plays a right handed strat, with the normal strings position, but in the lefty way (so, you have the strings inverted for you!)... so he plays all the chords upside down on the guitar... and he is an amazing guitar player.
