Description

Suppose you are running AveDesk1.1 and you are having all your desklets set as a desktop icon, like me. Now, you are busy with a lot of stuff, lots of windows open, and suddenly, you decide you want to access one of the widgets on the desktop... you hit minimize all, find the widget, do your stuff, and unminimize all again. ****ty job do to that.

But now there is AveFocus for AveDesk1.1 : run the application and see an icon being installed in the system notification area. Now, when you want to access a widget that is on the desktop, simply hit the F8 key and they will all pop to front.

Hit F8 again or click the blacked out background to return to normal again.

** Edit - never mind - fixed - it seems after the first run you have to change all of your desklets back to "desktop icon" (they all changed to always on top)

I get that when I shut this little app down. No biggie as it works perfectly while running, thanks a bunch man! Any chance of a setting to change/disable the animated fade? My 1920x1440 rez with a gf3 is not mega smooth doing

GeForce3 not fast enough? Is this a laptop with shared GFX memory?

I'm running on a GeForce2 and can't complain.

Just in case, go to nVidia and download the latest drivers.

Not a laptop.. it's not exactly slow... maybe I expect more than is reasonable?

I have found though that after starting avefocus, object bar ceases to be the boundary for the screen, and all maximised windows start to maximise with the titlebars hidden under objectbar and a gap at the bottom of the screen.

This is seriously sweet AndreasV. I know a lot of people have been bugging you... and that must get on your nerves . I love the way this works. It would be kinda neat if you could hide your desklets completely, but w/e. It works fine ,

This is a nifty program it will come in very handy. One question why not just add this feature to avedesk? you could even have an option to turn it on or off.

Because of this:

I'm sure it'll easily convert into a module for those who want to

have it and won't bloat avedesk for those who don't.

Great App ! Did i miss it, or isn´t there a way to change the Hotkey ? Also why not implement that feature into Avedesk. No need to run an extra program.

A feature to make some modules 'excempt' would be good. For example, I may want AveTunes or Weather brought up but I don't want to see my desktop icons. Hope that makes sense

Thats it! Ave your new addition to your apps just killed my DesktopX now it's only AveDesk for me

Now all thats left to do is to make it to change animations/make animation a little smother and it'll be the perfect app

And now excuse me, but I'm going to press F8 key a few more times, and enjoy it.

Sooooo - with this new app and the up and coming features....

I don't by any chance suppose that it would be possible to add certain desklets just to AveFocus? So when you press F8 pre-defined desklets appear and pressing F10 would show desktop desklets.....

just an idea, don't know where I got it from
