You know that is the same as saying, "Hey, every hacker in the world, see if you can crack it!"
Give it about 3 months after it is released and at least one person would find out how to hack it, most likrly a machine that reads it and send the signals in raw format to the computer.

Yea. But there was going to be a larger more official disk made that was going to be uncrackable it was called DVD-M or DVD-S or something along those lines. Anyways, it was supposed to come out around the time Linkin Park's Meteora came out (I'm not a big fan of theirs but it's the closest album release date...)
wish they would just give up. there is always going to be a backdoor.
it might be uncopiable but i think the music industry assumes that everyone is just going to run out and buy these new drives

Holy crap, That didn't even cross my mind. I thought it was an upgrade from the record.
Though, I do prefer records. They have a nice sound that you don't get from digital media.

Holy crap, I seriously hope those first few just didn't read teh article. Too bad the format is copyable (it's called recording, you'll lose quality in the digital to analog but you lose quality in MP3 and pretty much every other file format too).
my dad's uploaded records to his pc before, I thought this was something different, didn't bother reading the article.
as long as the player has a head-phones jack on it.... I got it "cracked"

Anyone born after 1980 more than likely has not used or listened to an actual LP (Record). At least not intentionaly anyway.
Most likely they started with cassettes and then went CD.
Can't remember the exact year, but I know it was before 1990 that vinyl record manufacturing, on a large scale anyway, ceased.
I still own like 40 or so of them. And an actual device to listen to them with. :woot:

I have no doubt you've heard of them.
But have you ever used an 8-track player or record player before?
As I stated before it IS possible you may have done so, but it's highly unlikely.
I'm not knockin' the younger generation... the subject matter just made me realize how old I really am.
