Transformers Movie In Summer 2006

No, no. You guys misunderstood. Tim Burton is directing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, not the Transformers.

I liked a lot of Tim Burtons movies. Batman, Batman Returns, Nightmare Before Christmas, Big Fish, Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorhands (yes, you read that right. I LIKED Edward Scissorhands).

I think the Transformers movie will come off alright. They have everybody that have ever done the cartoon working on the movie. Not to mention that the new line of Transformers that use real cars (Subaru and such) are selling really well. And the major success of Beast Wars suggest that the fans do rant a realistic Transformers incarnation, a la movie.

OMG this will rock! I'm sure Don Murphy will do it justice. I would love to see a trilogy ending in a re-make of the original movie... can you imagine how well they could do Unicron in CGI??? I need to go pee!

The Yu-Gi-Oh movie is not live action, it's still anime. Plus there are 4, or are there 5, Pokemon movies. But all of those are newer cartoons. Transformers is old school (though there are definitly older school cartoons out there).

a transformers movie would be a ground breaking film much like a terminator2/ matrix / 70's starwar shock. There is no doubt about that, since the tv series were immersive, let alone its going to have steven spielberg in line. Boy, i was a huge fan of that as a kid, in fact, im going to seek out their posters off the net to load up my artsy fartsy fantasy room.

Regarding the dbz film, I was a fanatic fan of dragon ball z, fanatic as in cultist and a satanic acolyte attending the dark alter everyday on cartoon network 5pm sharp everyday. I bought tons of sagas and i got dozens of dbz tapes which i watched continously. When heard there was a movie coming out, probably having one or two movie stars in it, i thought it'd be the peak of my life. But since two years now, things have changed...

One of you said that Cartoon network (TOONAMI) ****ed the series up with the edit cuts and boring redundent repeats from scratch - well its true. It did get messed up but that wasnt the only reason, definitely not the main one. On top of that I started getting justfully influenced by people hating the series. Their complaints were about how DBZ extends tiny debates into 5555543 episodes. How Goku became just another character and other symbols lost their charm. I just got tired of DBZ and the same old same old that never ceased to stop. Things became so predictable and bad that I (almost) completely lost the love for this show. So yeah, I can be quite sure a movie about it will be just like that street fighter 2 with jean claude goddamn.

Ugh. The original movie was terrible... Getting rid of Megatron and Starscream was a bad idea. The series afterwards just didn't do it for me.

Let's hope this new movie is good, so it can help us forget the original movie.
