hmm this is weird, i have installed this, and the reg file as well, but for some reason it doesnt work, like for default and i installed the correct reg file so im a bit confused. but anyhow this is an awesome mod, so awesome that it has convinced me to convert back to my mac ways, lol.

NVM, i figured it out, heh. Awesome job, this is the coolest mod ive seen in a while.

I hadn't worked on finder bar in a while, but somebody actually emailed me this bug last week and I have a version with a fix for it. I'll probably release it in the next week or so (as soon as my world of warcraft addiction will allow :)), after I add another feature that a bunch of people keep emailing me for - changing the font.

I might add that I get these exception errors usually when I have 2 or more windows open browsing the computer...

It also occurs when moving around the window on the screen fast....

Please don't put this project to waste since so far it's a great addition...

damm.. I think I just killed my tree view

good prog.. but I want to go back to my default view.. I killed the explorer.exe... ran the reg file.... ran explorer again.. and now.. my tree view is just a blank space.... what do I do to get it back...

plz don't tell me I have to format.. :(

I've always taken great pride in that I've never had to ask for much help. I've always been able to just figure things out by reading the forum for the most part, but this has broken me. I am actually running Norton Sys Wrks as I type. I am truely ashamed.

Hey guys, finder bar isn't completely dead. I've been getting quite a few emails about it lately :P

I have fixed the exception errors that pop up with multiple windows (and browsing fast) and have added changing the font. I also added more spacing around the icons to make it look more like the real th ing. I just need to update the installer to get it out to you guys.

I've just been too addicted to world of warcraft lately and I actually bought a mac so I've been using that a lot.

I will get it out the next couple of days though I promise ! (yeah i've said that before...)

awesome!!!!, did u figure out a way to remove the finderbar text and possibly hide the X button? also bout the installer, will it like automatically make the thing default on start up or do we still need to do the whole reg edit and folder options deal? im so happy to see you havent given up on the project, its very cool!

I agreed, same here. It show the Microsoft .NET Framework warning or error message.

Anyway, heres a new version to play with:

If you are using the registry hacks to replace the folder view, then you will have to change the version number in the registry file in both places. Change "Version=0.1.2.0" to "Version=0.1.3.0"
