I have the ALTEC LANSING 5100 speakers. They sound GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
And have lots of BASS!!!!!! So I blast those techno songs!
I've got an Altec Lansing 5.1 set, but I just use 2 speakers and the Sub. I didn't bother hooking up the rest after I moved cause i didn't really need the rest anymore.
I'd like to get some Klipsch 2.1 later on.
2 creative speakers.
woo, my speakers fried this morning after i turned them on. smoke was coming out of the back. guess i need to find a new set.
just my luck. 
I thought that no one would plug him/herself to the computer whenever he/she uses it.Therefore I didnt include it in the options. 
dreamz did smoke really come out of your speakers?
If it did then your speaker literally fried itself.
According to the polls till date it doesnt seem to me that my PC is old atleast this respect.But it surely is in other ways.

yup, smoke came out. i have no idea what happened. they were working fine last night, but when i turned on my computer this morning, and then turned on my speakers, they made a weird grumbling sound and then died. the stench of burning plastic quickly filled my room.
it wasn't too much smoke, just little wisps, but i knew it was dead.
luckily, my friend is a senior rescon, so he borrowed some speakers from the lab and gave them to me to tide me over.

well. i use my PHILLIPS HIFI system. connected to my PC. it is insane. you got to see my Speakers !! they are HUGEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeee heheheh YEAH .... long life to the HOUSE and PROGRESSIVE !!!
Sony SRS-D313 set... 2.1 but going to also add satelite cordless speakers also from sony
a good old Cambridge FPS1800
