its called VLC (Video Lan Client), so far the best video player on the mac. Thats all 
They must have made videolan client much easier on the mac cause I tried the win version a few months ago and there where too many options to change in order to get it to play a divx file and then to play a dvd.

yes, vlc is VERY easy on the mac. It is, in fact, the preferred video player for it. Most ppl dont even use QT.
and I didn't know they had vlc for windows.. Does it have the same icon?
the icon is sort of the same. It is still a cone, but it isnt aqua-y and it isnt alpha blended, and it isnt 128x128, so it looks all jaggedy and nasty lol

Yeah, there is a VLC for windows, their tagline is "OpenSource video streaming solution for every OS!". They have windows, macOSX, Linux, BeOS, QNX, FreeBSD, Solaris. It is basically, a *nix video player ported to different OS'. I find it a little.. interesting that they would make it easier on some than others but I anyway. I tried it and ended up going back to powerdvd to play my dvds. =Þ Maybe they fixed it since I last tried it.
