Intolerance Of Mac Users?

OK, i read all your posts. I dont follow the whole PC opinion completly. Im not saying your completly wrong, im saying that its not illegal. Apple didn't specifically copyright Aqua (the skin, not the name), so its legal to copy it all we want. were not suppose to call it aqua though. Technically, we shouldnt use the Apple or OS X logo, but thats not a big deal either way. Do I think its perfectly OK to "rip-off" someone elses ideas, no. BUT, we clearly give credit to Apple, were not calling it ours. Whats so wrong about taking a good idea and adding to it. I could have my Aqua/XP interface more converted, but I choose to leave some windows elements in because they are more productive for me. Im not completly copying OS X, im incorporating many different ideas (from apple, microsoft, and countless others) into an OS I can work with. The Dock, aqua, and the rest, its a CONCEPT and you cant expect other people not to improve upon it for their own PERSONAL use.

BUT, what Apple is doing, threatening to sue all these people over all the skinning we're doing is WRONG. But you probobly disagree with me.

look, is this easy. Myself, as an icon maker, when I see my icons in some other place, taken without permission and without my knowledge makes me go mad. Some place or say where they took it from, others dont. However, it doesnt pleases me at all, that some people uses my resources in their website or dont give me credits. why? because i worked for them, and i dont find it fair, that others use them for other purpose than customizing, without authorization or my knowledge. If that is at this point, imagine it when it comes to apple, a big company, that any wrong decision costs them money, and they can loose a lot of money.

Im not saying we are all illegal, and that we are doing bad things, however, i feel it a little bit unfair, thats my thoughts. If you had something, that would be ripped or something, you might feel it that way, maybe you dont feel it that way, but this is my thought.

Well, it is without Apple's permission that we're using graphics and stuff from the Macs, but the credits go to Apple in any case, for creating this user interface.

Nobody who comes up with an Aqua app or skin or anything claims that graphics etc is his own inspiration. We give credit to skinners and programmers for porting the Aqua UI in our PCs, which we all know and remember it's Apple stuff.

Would you find it bad if one day you come across a site called www.mmr_85-worshipping.org, even if that came up without your knowledge? I'm sure that you'd at least crack a smile.

lol. The idea of worshipping apple by skinning our pc's is really stupid, and most pc users claim it. If you are part of a religion, and you worship your god, you need to follow the "laws" of your religion, the real apple worshippers are the hard core mac fans, not the skinning community of pc's. Since in such case of "worshipping" apple, then you should go and buy a mac, and drop your pc, isnt that what apple says? to switch? so if you worship apple, go and switch, and dont claim you worship apple by skinning your pc with non-windows interface/graphics. That is a very dumb idea, like the disclaimers on piracy sites, they are plain crap.

I don't have an Apple because I need the hardware expandability and variety of software PCs offer and can't afford to buy a second computer because of its hardware and software design.

I like Picasso, too, but since I can't buy an original painting I will stick a poster with one of his drawings on my wall. As simple as that.

I am a mac user, I an I think that the emulation stuff is great. It brings us one step closer together.

But then again, I use both, and my win machine looks like my Mac. I love Macs, hate win, but gotta use win too, so I make it nice!
