I guessed correctly and it was announced a while ago.
well, after all those posibilities, we HAD to nail the name, didnt we?
Warning, if someone brings that thread up, i will have to do some very nasty mod voodo on him/her. Be warned.
The name isn't really high on my priority list - how about some features or system info?
Topic moved.
Official or not, it's still a MacOS topic:
Mac & Linux OS- Discussion on the MacOS and Linux OS and Software.

im just wondering. how come they update their os so frequently. They release one and then 6 months later there is another one. I know it shows diligence and their goal to be productive. but what about the consumer, they go in buying a piece of software that they think will last longer than a year. but then they release a new one, which is better.and they spent money only to throw that old os away and buy a new one.....can someone help me understand this?

The consumer can keep using his version of the OS, cant he? the updates arent as frequent, but the mac niche does appreciate them overall, you have to think that mac owners are in general wealthier (except me). It is seen by the mac community as the compromise of apple.

eheh yes i know the "mac" community is wealthy....oh do i ever. but ya i just really dont see that as good marketing or business practice in general. But i guess if their willing to spend the money, why not. Yes they can keep their old os, no doubt about it, but what if the new one is what they were really looking for? i dunno w/e i dont think any of us here are as wealthy as the people in the "niche", we would have all switched if we were wealthy[ well not all cause we still like the stuff on windows [ programs ]]. but ya thanks,

hehehe, well, if the os that has just been released has the features you lookf forward to, you buy it, doesn this happen with windows? i mean, yes, less often but if you want to insert wish here and you cant with your current os but you can with another one, you buy it and you use it... what am i missing?
I don't know if it's just me but Tiger sounds feakn' stupid.
Just read this - Oh I have OS X,......Tiger!!
Thats stupid. Even if it was true (which I really don't belive it for the same reson listed above) it's still very stupid. :canadian:
Bull****, its not a Portuguese magazine, its a Brazilian Magazine, but in Brazil they speak Portuguese what can make the confusion
Tiger sounds lame
Tiger sounds lame
I agree lets beat up the creator of that name. :chair:
JUST KIDDING

I really can't wait, I want to see the firsts screenshots
But it should be very good because it's apple, it's not Micro$oft... <_<

Yeah, but then you gotta look at the other side of the fence. I mean, look at Longhorn. How long has it been in development? How much longer is it taking? I dunno about you, but I certainly wish it was finished and out right now. It's all relative, I suppose. No happy medium here.
Hope Steeve B. will rename longhorn in "Kitten"

i totally agree. Its taken forever with microsoft. But you can barely get dried off with apple. Meaning They soak you with this great os and then they drench you again with another. hehe. but ya im wish longhorn was out.
@Lostspyder:
