ok that's clear that news is a big problem here since 2 weeks (and even more in my opinion).
personnaly i like the way DT² post the news, but i think you can do better... 
on the portal, you got a box displaying "Recent Customizing News"... what's the point of having this??? cause the news displayed in this table are displayed in the main table... I would suggest you to replace it by a "Recent Icons Release" and a "Recent Wallpaper Release"
=>this would allow you no to bother with the large number of release each day, the five or XX most recent are displayed
in the main table of the portal should only be repported news from the "Applications" forums and the main event in the other sections.

I already made it (just need a little php change)
after that i would say that 4 newsposters for all the forum is enougth but it's true that everybody can not be available at anytime... it's to you members of the staff to organize
you can also make a section called "News Submission" where members can submit news, and you only need to edit/move/join the post to the news

i was all confused when i went to A-S, maybe 2 days ago, and wasn't greated with the wiki news post. i was like, were am i, did my home page get changed on me in the internet settings.
something should be done. HEY, make me a news poster, that way i can post all my releases, no one else does

@Timan: How about adding a new feature for newsposters such that they can mark off whatever thread which they have posted in the news? This way, the other NPs can know who has posted what and there will be no overlaps.

I am sick of this community being b!tchy about everything. I am sick of all the people being so rude to the new members. Whenever somebody has a problem, vets are always answering with smart ass answers. I have nothing to give until you guys give back.

If a waiter brings you a Mc Chicken instead of a nice big juicy steak, do you stand down and just eat the Mc Chicken that cost you 24$? Face it part of getting that news poster badge is that you work, you volunteered for this job, and if your not going to post the news step down, its as simple as that.
And are you talking about people treating newpeople crappy like here?
Sorry to troll, but take a look at everything. Were all guilty of treating new people poorly, and have no grounds on which to be all humble. Grim was just commenting on how the wiki post was gone, and thought it was strange. You dont have to blow up on him. Most of us are helpfull to new members, and i dont think any of the true vets flame any new people with "use the search" posts, unless they realy diserve it.

Said the same thing months ago. Best thing to do is either ignore it or try and help the people that get hogged down by other members :/. Well infact just report it now, we'd appreciate it.
Well I'll say this again just incase someone skipped over it.

i have plenty of free time, but im a horible speller. but yeah, lostspider would make a good news poster. he seems to be on a lot.
as for a mod, i think maybe seph, hes on a lot too, and hes a good news poster.
just a thought.

@Mr. A: I am really sorry, Time, i vote for Unbeliever too, do you remember hes backpage newsposting? he provided us newsposters more than a couple of times with the news material, i even used to sign as "- Seph & Unbeliever", remember?

Umm, I think this year has possibly been the busiest 3 months or so Ive seen at aqua soft. The new applications list is endless, theres a whole bunch of new beautiful icons, therealduckie.com is a source for anything aqua related.
I dont think anyone could call us 'not giving'
Yea, untill that report function in IPB sends a pm to every mod, rather than an email to the admin, its going off, too many people abused it saying, broken link, how do i do this, yada yada yada.
