Xplore Bug Report
fixed the buttons by using the edges from the 'views' mask, then editting the buttons edges.
I also moved the prefs button up one pixel to line up properly
Douments has a sort of delayed naming problem.
Once you name Documents it stays that way...
if you type 'Document' then save. open the prefs again and add the 's' it wont add but it you type 's' the 'space' the 's' appears but the 'space' dosnt then if you enter 'a' the 'space' appears. It seems to only update the previous key and not the current one.... strange 
Douments is the only one with this problem....
also in the prefs window where it has the name in bold in the bottom right corner the hard drive icon dosnt not move or clear the previous name it types the new characters over it.
Anyone else confirm these two?
Im running Windows XP Pro SP1
Plus a minor note the back/ forward buttons havnt been done properly the 'Aqua' shadow goes down on the back and down on the forward where it should go up on the forward just a small note....
also those who say you cant link to network neighbouthood that because Windows dont allow it to be 'shortcut' TiG4 I think youll need to add an option to direct to network neighbourhood unless someone know while file in the system brings up the windows

grabbed the resources from the Safari Firbird skin and it had the button pngs...here is the lastest screenshot of the back/forward buttons
now they also shadow properly, too

Yeah thats the way it should look small problem but makes it look so much better 
I am not sure if its only me but here is my bug !!
I set and save the picture icon prefrence into c:\my documents\mypicture
Try it it works ...
Restart the program try it again and it first give a cunnot desply error msg then when i click on it again it takes me into XPlore folder ?!

A fix for those experiencing virtual folder bugs
especially those wanting to link to Network Neighbourhood
you need to enter "::" followed by one of these CLSID values

p.s. quick a quick note to say that this will only work in Xplore to create a WIndows shortcut you need to enter "explorer /root,,::" followed by the CLSID value.
Edit: I havnt been able to get 'Fonts' or 'Outlook Express' to work
don't know if anyone else said this, but it keeps showing me thumbnails in every folder. I change it to icons, and when I click on it again.. *poff* thumbnails again.. >.

That will be because of Windows not Xplore as explorer saves the folders preferences in a hidden file then when you next open the folder explorer reads the files and resotres your last view. If there isnt a view explorer will guess the best view
e.g.
a few folders = tiled
movies = thumbnails
a few pics = filmstrip
etc..
so everytime Xplore opens a folder it wont know to look for the file so it will restore the default view so Xplore needs to be progemmed to read the hidden file.

take it slow man, you did great work here
The app doesn't want to remember the location I input for "pics." If trying to type in the path manually, it will only let you type one character and will keep on overwriting that character.

When linking things to My Pictures, when you type in the link, it stays for a second, then after you save, and try to go to the link, it doesnt work. If you go back to the options then go to the link and try to type, or move, or delete anything, it deletes the whole link

this issue has been stated already by 3 other people
Explanation of problem with the Picture link:
If you set a link for the Pictures shortcut, it will save it and it works, but when you return to the preference menu, the "Link" field for Pictures will be blank, so if you save, it'll overwrite to show that you haven't set a link for Pictures. Furthermore, even if you don't save, the app will overwrite the Pictures link and set it to nothing upon closing. (I just tested by checking the xploreprefs file, and it's upon closing - not opening.)

man! this is actually funny same question after the other! people should read more!
The only reason 3 people said that in a row was because Tig4 asked what was wrong with the preferences option. The people were only answering his question, not stating that its not working for no reason.
BTW, anyone know how to rebuild icon cache?
even so, people should not ask the same question, after someone else did it right before him/her! this is one of the things that makes trash in this forum!
it's just unnessesery!
ps: you can rebuid your icon cache with ico packager!
