I am selling my new iBook and I'm wondering if it's OK to offer it up via the forums? I won't give any more details until I get an official OK.
Selling My New Ibook
It's ok but this should go in the Hardware forum....specifically the Mac forum.
Is there any way I can transfer it to that forum or will the mods. take care of it for me?
Usually the mods do that job but these days..... <_< Anyway you have no power to move this thread so hope that they do.
Ok, well here goes.....
It's a 14" 933MHz G4. I'm sure everyone knows the specs. but if not, go to www.apple.com and you can read all about it.
I also purchased an extended warranty which cost a couple hundred extra bucks and, to the best of my knowledge, is fully transferable.
There are no dings, scratches or abuse of any kind. In other words, it's pristine.
I will be more than happy to provide shipping.
Any offers?

I was kinda' hoping someone would make an offer and I wouldn't have to post an asking price but.....
The iBook is 2 months old, hardly used and I paid (including tax and extended warranty) around $1700 for it....
$1100 and I pay the shipping. How does that sound?
where are you located? would you ship it to dubai?
why do you want to sell it? just out of curiousity.

poo, poo, poo... poo >.<
I think that you should put it on eBay to be honest - It's a more secure way of getting payment etc, and it would probably have a larger audience.

Forgive my ignorance but where is Dubai?
I thought about eBay but I know how much guys here are jonesing for Macs so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Frankly, I really dig my iBook. It works great and you have to see the Quartz engine to truly appreciate it. That being said, I am so rooted in Windows apps. that it would be a such a major undertaking to try and switch everything over and if I'm gonna' run Virtual PC, that kinda' defeats the purpose doesn't it.
Anyway, I'm not tight for money and I like my iBook it's just a matter of practicallity.
Dubai is in the United Arab Emarates. It's overseas.

Don't worry about it. Seph doesn't need it. He has a dualie 2GH G5.
The best offer I can give you is $3000 in Monopoly money.

Jesus Christ.....wtf is your problem? If he wants to sell it let him sell it? Some people just don't need Macs coz they're just an unnecesary waste of money.
He probably realized that under the pretty GUI there really isn't anything going for Apple and their "**** Different" Mac computers.....whatever :6

Well, that's the nice way of putting it.
I'd say hold a fight to the death, the winner gets to place an offer.
I don't want to start a Mac vs. PC thing here. I'm just trying to sell my iBook.
Trust me, after using both a PC and a Mac, I can definately say that they both have their strengths and their weaknesses.
It's all good.
So.....any takers?
I'm interested. I just received a 12" iBook and I'm having trouble dealing with this tiny tiny screen, and I wouldn't mind upping the processor, either. IM me.

[LOF]skinnylegs Sad to say this but your better off selling it on ebay, people here just have to question everything.
Good luck though, you could prob get around "U$"1300 if it has the applecare. Just look at the auctions on ebay and be surprised.
right.... so people aren't allowed to ponder why someone would sell an incredibly expensive computer just 2 months after they got it? If you're going to spend 1100 dollars on something, you want to know its alright! i wouldn't buy a car i hadn't test-driven.
you know it makes sense
