Testers Needed (iphoto)

Hey guys,

I've had a lot of problems lately with the initialization part of DirectX that I use for the iPhoto screensaver feature. Finding a good generic driver for every computer is difficult, well ... err ... it's actually a pain in the ass !!!!

Could you test this one out for me : iphotoscreentest.rar and report any (lady)bugs you may find.

Thanks a lot

It works brilliant with me, the fade in and out is really smooth. No probs here.

Keep it up.

OMG, incredible. Smooth and beautiful.

It does use a good amount of CPU, but not so bad it lags the system.

No problems on my end. Keep it up dude

Yeah, looks great! Uses DirectX, right?

But why don't you use the existing "Nostalgic" screensaver for your iPhoto clone? You just have to change the registry-key of the screensaver where the path of the images to use is stored and then activate it by using the SendMessage API ...

The original iPhoto also uses the system's screensaver and don't have an integrated one.

err ... maybe because I like to do things on my own. hehe :D . I don't like to rely on third-party stuff, except for the aqua controls of course!!

Works great, and the smoothness is incredible. But, my cpu maxes out a 100% also. Going through dx9 would be nice.

#9595

I cant wait to see your next iphoto release with this in it.

#9612

photos will always be available on your hard drive, you can do whatever you want with them ... or use the export feature if you want to.

About the 100% CPU usage, I think it uses it because no other process is running, try to run other programs and check if it slows them down

Err.. I mean the to use the albums within iPhoto when I click on the "Screensaver" button. So I have to use your own build-in screensaver, right? But what If I don't want to use it? Maybe include an option to select what screensaver the user want to use?
