I see the pics.. 1 and 3 use reshack and change the icons. number 2 shell32.dll i believe.

the two first are in mshtml.dll, & the third is in shell32.dll, but there are many dialog to change for the third;;;

easiest thing to do is to make a shortcut to the file the icon you want to be changed is displayed. (i.e. Hardware) then rightclick your newly created shortcut -> properties -> go to customize (i think its called like that , /me has german xp, but it is the last tab in propertie...) now click on change icon and tada full path to icon.dll and even the number it is is shown ! hope this was understandable. if not im gonna post a pictured tutorial on for this ...
