Aqua-Soft Forumsis there a way to hide the file, edit, view, etc.. menus from the actual windows.. and then use the ones on object bar? or can that not be done?

Yes. Go to General Options on ObjectBar and then select Hide Menus of applications....
and select the other checkbox down that one.
Oh yha and you must have the Enhanced Version

This option adds quite a lot of extra Mem Usage...usually about 10,450 to 14,600 with this option checked...I've got to get some more ram...it's so cheap at the moment!
I wasn't that keen on OB but crni's bar is just pure eyecandy...and it's functional!
I just keep forgetting to use it! Dock icon is called for here, just to remind me!
I think I need to use it during a days work...with several apps going at once...Dreamweaver (which won't skin), ImageReady, notepad, IE and Thunderbird...I was going to add Quake2 but thought better of it!

The only way I know of is to reshack the menu sections of your programs .exe's or .dll's. As that is where it is stored\hard coded.
Hiding the menus disables the address and google bar in Firebird, just so you know.
Last time I tried it, it didn't affect firebird at all as the menubar in it is not object bar compatible, so it don't get moved or hidden.

Which, I think, is what screws it up. OB tries to hide the menu bar, but it cant, so things get screwy. Seriously, when I have it enabled I cannot type.
spybreak's modded dll doesnt work with OB, the file edit etc.. menus dont show up at all, any one know of a better solution? :6

Nope, its an actual character, its not the font. I remember a debate about this about a year ago. Duckie, i think, modified his explorer.exe to not have lines, but you'd have to do that for every single program. There should be a program that disable shortcuts. Maybe that would make the under line disapeer?

It doesn't "screw up" (at least on my computer). The menubar just isn't available to objectbar because it's not a traditional menubar. So it doesn't do anything at all.
Just in case anyoen gets confused I was talking about firefox, or mozilla. And I know about the hacks to hide the menubar, that's not enough for me. It has to go into objectbar.

yes, it was me but it was Shell32.dll and you have to remove every single instance of '&' from it
like :
Menu="&File"
Menu="&Edit"
the '&' sign is in front of the active letter which enables that menu
like if I right click my s\desktop, the line is under the W on NEW, so it looks like this in the shell32:
"ne&w"
