[.dll Mod] Integrate Stefanka's Icons

Hello, after trying a little bit, and asking here some questions I found out how to integrate the system files from Stefanka to an install CD, it's not really complicated.

What you need:

Stefanka's Systemfiles

modifype

my bat file (attached)

First you have to copy your Windows CD into a directory for Example "Windows Image" than use the program modifype and my .bat file (so you haven't to type the commands for every file) Than copy alle the packed files to the I386 folder and replace the old ones.

You ca also replace the uxtheme.dll, click here to download the packed one for windowsxp with sp1.

Now make an Image out of it with the tool you find here.

Burn your Image to a cd, install windows, and enjoy it

I Just added the bat as zip, because rar had not been accepted

I fixed the bat file because i forgot some files, just put all files in one folder also from outlook express and desktop manager

If I had a WindowsXP-SP1 install CD, I'd try it!

Is there a way to convert this SP1-Files to non-SP1 ???

Those files (bat, dlls and everything else) are for english version of XP, or the German version?

The files from Stefanka are for the German Version, but they are translated into english, look at the Thread, someone uploaded them. The rest works same way.

You can integrate the SP1 to the windows cd, it's easy. But I don't know an english site where it is explained, perhaps someone else know one.

I have a windowsXP cd!

But the files are not SP1!

So if I replace the stefanka-files with the originals (non-SP1) what will happen?

StanfanKa's Files are for SP1.

Well, I have a windows XP CD but non-SP1, just normal WindowsXP.

If I would replace the original XP-Files with the files of StefanKa, what would happen?

Because the CD is non-SP1, but StefanKa's files are SP1.

@ Franziose: es gibt doch inzwischen 2 XP-CD's - welche mit integriertem Service-PAck und die Originalen, wo das erst nachinstalliert werden muss. Du schreibst, dass deine Dateien für SP1 sind, was die Frage aufwirft, was passiert, wenn man das mit einer alten XP-CD, wo das SP1 noch nicht drin integriert war, macht.

Also ich habe auch nur eine alte XP-CD und eben selber SP1 integriert und dann StefanKa's files draufgetan, ob das ganze auch funktioniert wenn kein sp1 da ist, weiß ich leider nicht, wenn allerdings die files von stefanka auf einem nicht gepatchtem system funktionieren, was heißt ohne sp1 dann dürfte es wohl auch kein Problem sein diese direkt auf der CD zu ersetzen.

I also just have an XP-CD without SP1 at the beginning, but I patched it for SP1, and than copy the packed files of stefanka to it. So I don't know if it would go if the cd ist not sp1. But if the files work on a system with isn't sp1, than I think it wouldn't be a problem to patch them already on the cd.
