Pc To Mac

Ok, The point of the aqua-soft.org website is to help those who want to theme mod, and change their entire PC into a MAC.

The problem we are all having is we come up with things CLOSE but not exact to mac.

If we all could BIND together and work together on one project, made up of sevral little projects, im sure we can do it. Make an exact replica of a MAC desktop.

Rite now we are all working alone, doing our best, and every things better in pairs.

If we did get together, talk with people who are on the same project, get screen shots, informations, and advice from one another, we could very well copy to the T, the mac operating system. Website and all.

Then issue it into a installation package, and the fun begins!

Sloving problems, and working together. One big project, to make our PCS into macs!

I'd first like to make the steps to do this... If you wanna became part of the PCX Teams. Then respond to this thread, or even write me.

Together we can do it, apart we can only do our best.

The PC-X Goal, To replicate the OSX perfectly...

Resources, such as, group storage, forums, and chat will be required.

Like I said together we can do it...

Join the PC-X team!

Over time if we complete this project, we can mod our own version of OSX with our own little weaks that could make it better...

If you wish to help provide information about MACs Please post all the information you can get, from screen shots, to sounds, even icons... But we are looking for the real thing... not a pixel off....

um...people have different styles, like light, dark, panther, milk, neos, etc. i know what you are saying, but too good to be true...is my opinion...it wont all work as you want it too, as we all want it to.

(just my opinion!)

With a little hard work, and sweat it will work...

I know that some of us have diffrent tastes, and like things diffrently, but if we can completely finnish one we can go on to the next, and so forth.

The point is to completely recreate a MAC theme as it is rite now for PC...

Any thing else comes after....

1. MAC is not all caps, it should be just Mac, as it doens't stand for anything. whereas PC stands for Personal Computer.

2. 50 people have looked at this thread, and only I have replied. I don't know how many are really interested. People might like doing it their own way.

I think it has been tried and uh.. forgotten.

Hey at least I still have issue 1 of godpunk's newsletter.

maybe I'll ebay it for a hundred bucks.

I started 3 different threads like this and the most common answer was:

Developers dont want to work together

sadly, most of them like the accomplishments in a solitary way so they get all the credit.

That and people will inevitably b|tch and moan that it doesnt come in any other flavors, which for me i could care less, but apparently people arent here anymore for realism.

good luck tho...I hope this time someone reads this and gets the hint.

of course im all about this, thats why im here. The only think i can offer now, is any resources needed from a mac.

Listen to duckie, he knows whats what, and is darn good skinner (not to start bad ju ju, but also one of my favorite mods)

Maybe finishing your other projects first would be a good idea? Rather than getting people all wound up about a new one?

That's not necessarily true - enhanced's projects are often collaborations, and they seem to go rather well...

I, for one, like to work on projects on my own because coding is "my church" - it's what I do to relax after a hard day's work coding as part of a team.

Not true in my opinion. Most of the time it is one person who gets a woa!-idea, he starts to work on it to see if it can be done and after that it is hard for others to join.

Also, there is a lot of information-swapping (behind the scenes, thru PM, e-mail, iM) between devvies from what I have seen.

sadly, most of them like the accomplishments in a solitary way so they get all the credit.

Offcourse it is about getting kudos too, but it is really about making some nice mac-emulating stuff. Maybe it is time for a groupsproject with strict rules?

True, true.

Man you should run for President. Your speech almost brought me to tears (NOT)... :6

As far as your 'dream team' idea is concerned, it's not gonna happen....Not that I care.

Enhanced projects may be collaborations, but that isnt common knowledge. Most people arent aware that it happens because the process is somewhat closed and behind the scenes.

what is being said here is that it should be a more open process between ALL developers and beta testers. Something that is, perhaps, a bit more newsworthy or openly discussed. Maybe so that these apps are more interoperable and combined.

For instance, why not have Alilm's MAIL APP share resources with Jib's Address Book? Or have Address Book share resources with Outlook? Or Alilm's Finder project share resources with Object Bar or WinMac?

personally, I see NO reason some of these cannot be combined or work together. Just makes sense. especially since so many of these apps use a crapload of memory.

I like jef's AddShadow, 3r-1c, ClockX, and more running on my desktop or in the background, but each app on its own takes alot of time to launch and memory to run.

I am only using the apps I listed as examples and NOT as the actual wishes, but it COULD happen.

As for it being your 'church', that's cool, but I think maybe people tend to get a bit impatient and when they arent aware of where the developers are, they get antsy and can't sit still in their chairs.

too many posts for me to read them all.. blah

If someone wants to start a project like this.. get a few people interested who can actually code. Go to sourceforge, start a project page, start a CVS repository.. and do it. As other's have stated, this has been mentioned many times and nothing ever becomes of it.

I'm in the same position as you. I know nothing bout coding but I got a lot of graphical skills so if anyone wants me to design some imgs of a GUI for them just PM me...

Sounds like an interesting project though, but still I agree with Duckie, It's not practical... :6

oh well... -_-
