Pepsi Itunes Superbowl Ad

iTunes Ad for Super Bowl

Can you say **** The RIAA Apple Did ;)

#107101

Ah, i think it is lame....

#107183

Uh...this ad doesn't say **** the RIAA. If anything, it says bow down to the RIAA.

*paraphrased*

Kid: I got sued by the RIAA. I'm still downloading songs, but now they're legal.

How is that saying, "**** the RIAA"?

#107212

Doesn't it say somewhere "I'm stilling going to download music, for free"? Since they are downloading free music from iTMS.

#107223

Well Pepsi is involved.. could it get much worse? Well perhaps I go watch the Ad... :6

ohhh.... Stupid girl!! it's not free! u have to buy a Pepsi! =P URK! :6

MP3's are great to preview a CD before you buy them... key word BUY THEM. Don't be cheap, musicians need to get paid too. I even have a little bit of sympathy for the "larger" artist, because most have worked their way to the top and deserve to be rich as hell.

I don't agree with the RIAA becuase basically, they're just picking on people, trying to scare others into not sharing, when in "real life" it's impposible to stop file sharing. I agree uckFay the RIAA.

True, but by making pay-sharing legal and cheaper than real albums you can stop the public from seeing the illegal side as much, so many will decide not to break ranks and pirate music. This doesn't stop it, but it reduces it and gives a greater degree of control.

What I meant was that the girl think it's free (not that I think that free music is good, I like the music store is a great idea! I’ll buy some tunes when the music store hits the European market). Well ok Pepsi and Apple have a giveaway, B.U.T. the downside is that you still have to buy an awful Pepsi, hmm how much for a Pepsi in the US? If it’s less then an mp3 at Itunes buy a Pepsi throw it a way, but don’t forget to take the “cap” of, hopefully you take the right bottle ;)

Well ok, the above speak for it self... I like Coke more then I like Pepsi, the logo, the taste, the Ads, everything. Another company I like is Apple! Why? Just why? Oh Why? Oh Why? Did Apple choose Pepsi?? Well perhaps I will never know, but I think that they were contacted Coca-cola, and they say: We don’t have to have a giveaway to get people to buy a Coke, or gain market from Pepsi, It’s just taste soooo much better! (It would make me fill soooo gooooood) :woot: :woot: :woot:

Well technically it is free music. Your buying Pepsi to drink and getting a free song too (if you win of course).

#107687

Hey, Pepsi is good. I chose it over Coke in the Pepsi challenge... The 7up challenge? I'll stay away from that.

Imma go drink so much more pepsi now.

#108956

I chose Coke in the Pepsi chellenge...but i want to win a free song...but...oh well >.<

/runs IRC ...........I'm kidding of course

when did artist start making money from their CD sales?

iTunes and Digital Downloads: An Analysis

artist on average get 10-14 percent of the post deduction cost of CD's.

which averages out to about $0.85 - $1.50 per album sale.

i like the add just cause of 3 things:

1. iTunes is getting a wider audience

2. iLove iMac :D

3. I really like that GreenDay version of I Fought the law :D

all in all, i think this will bring more attantion to iTMS which is s good thing, no matter if WE (we are an elite, in a way  ) like the add or not ;)

Larger Acts make a hell of alot more than that because they make a percentage of cd sales and they also sign # of CD's deals. Say like Sony signs Monkeyballs Trio to a 6 CD 6 billion dollar deal.

pepsi is nasty. I like diet coke. :)

#109972

i have always hated such commercials, great products don't need such gimmicks.

Probably helps pepsi more.

BTW it's not free, how many pepsis do you think the average consumer has to go thru to get a 99c download?

Lame.

#110690

Do we get any of the girls free?

;) lol.

Yeah seriously, though the Record labels take more money than the artist.

So My Middle Finger goes up to the RIAA.

and I hope they do something like this in England when it comes out, who'd of ever thought that there would be two companies called Apple, One selling Music and One selling computers and they have a pact of sorts to not sell what the other one sells.

-Jimmy S

p.s. I hope its not Pepsi or Coke, why does it always have to be an Unhealthy Drink? Why not Water?
