I think we should ask first if anyone's using MobyDock with multiple Monitor's. Why add a feature if nobody's using it instead of implementing DirectX9 or other real wanted features? ;)

Multi monitor support shouldn't be hard to implement, compared to dx9. And whats bad about having it?

Nothing, but who really needs it..? I think there are a lot of features wich are more important than multi monitor support.

To answer the question...I'd use multimonitor support if it was available....but I don't see it as crucial.

Than you, Moby!

Now I'm using ONLY Y'z Dock 0.4.2 because it's the only Dock that I can set up in the second monitor. Really, I have two Docks IN THE SECOND monitor: one emulating the launchbar toolbar, and one vertical for system icons. :(

Of course implement multi-monitor support it's very easy with the good calls. Really, in five minutes you can implement it! :o

If you have a nVIDIA graphics card, you can send applications to other monitors trough the nVIDIA drivers...

Yes, but this only true for Yz'Dock 0.4.2 or less!!!

I have a GeForce 4 ti4600 with two monitors, and I can't set up in the second monitor MobyDock (all versions), Stardock (all versions) and new versions of Yz'Dock (from 0.5). :(

For me the multi-monitor support it's very important! :o

hi,

just a quick note. i have matrox dualhead at work and i can setup mobydock to the second monitor since it is just one card with like 2580 x 1024 resolution.

if you have two cards, maybe the problem is, that you cannot raise the xoffset above 640 (for a 1280 res.) ! RIGHT ?

try this:

edit the fifth row of the settings.ini file in the mobydock config-folder ! this is the x-Offset ! Raise it to what you want !

hope this helps,

Hi Moby,

Your Dock it's the only that I can change the x-offset > x-size. When you deliver the first version of MobyDock, I try this, and really work... but they are problems, basically because the Dock oversizes one monitor. :(

FYI, I use only one video-card, but using the Windows multi-monitor API.

Please, insert this funtionality when you have time; and I hope that you also support the VERTICAL position.

Thanks a lot!

I use 3 monitors, an ATI rage128 and my GeForce.

I'd like to have this support as well.

hi FreeAccessAllTime,

i don't really get what you mean.

so, i think it works for you to move mobydock to the second monitor, but you want it to use only the second one and not going beyond the borders of that screen (e.g. only from 1280 to 2560) !

Is that right ?

maybe you can show me a screenshot !!

Yes, it is! But more precise with options: full desktop (2560x1024), only first monitor, and only second monitor. Also with option to launch more than one Dock and VERTICAL format.

See screenshot of my desktop with Yz'Dock 0.4.2 ;)

I use two monitors a 19" 955DF and a 17" 753DF and I would love to see this added but it is not that important.
