Alternative Shell

Hi all, I'm looking for a good alternative shell for winXP.

I found some apps (geoshell, litestep, blackbox..)

What do you think about these and are there skins to look like OSX for them ?

your best bet is litestep, since that's the most skinnable of the ones you listed, but it can be difficult to use at first. dartbra has made some lovely litestep osx themes as well.

The best one i have ever tried is Aston

Its i quite a long time since, and newer versions have come out, so it should be even better now

While not nescarly a shell, i find object bar to be extreamly versitile and snappy. Combine that with desktopx and windowblinds and you got yourself a mac.

I used to use talisman, might want to check that out

Shell shocked has got a list of freeware and shareware shells. I used to like aston 1.5 (very fast shell). But the recent versions have been slow for me.

geoshell is the love of my life. it's by far my most favorite shell just because it is so damn minimal you dont even know it's there

Aston. I downloaded that and installed once, not really knowing what that was. And wow. I had to learn how to use my computer all over again, just so I can uninstall it.
