Hello aqua(rians) 
Well, I re-formatted my hard disk yesterday and installed windows 2000 (XP got really slow). Now the problem is the GUI. I tried windowblinds, but it doesnt cover w2k properly. Is there anyway I can skin the entire GUI using a single application? Or is there anyway I can use an external program and make w2k support Visual Styles? I tried searching the forum, but couldnt find a solutio. So I thought I'd make a post here [hope I posted my Q in the right place]
w2k does not support visual styles.
your choices:
1. windowblinds, as you've tried.
2. shellwm to skin windows.
3. alternative shells (probably the best one).
Shells don't skin windows, except maybe a couple of the blackbox ones. They handle the desktop.
well, i should've clarified. alternative shell (for the desktop) + shellwm for windows. good call, smoke.
I do have a shell installed. I'm using litestep. What about the rest? replacing IE toolbar Buttons? scrollbar? buttons on webpages (the default one). in short the finer aspects of theming!
I know i'm expecting a lil' too much. :shy:
But if there's a way, why shift to XP?

there isn't much you can do unless you use those programs mentioned.

you can do a lot, even with 2k.
