I've searched the A-S boards for a while and can't find any help, so I'd thought I'd just try asking.
For Gaim fo' Windows, Does anyone here know where the little buttons on the bottom of the Buddy List are located? I have ResHacker and looked thru a bunch of the files and havn't found them. Some of the buttons and images are located in a folder, but the rest I can't find. Any help?

I am (sort of) a reshacking pro, I looked through all the files as well and couldnt find the icons. They might be in some obscure hidden file, but I doubt it.
Hmmm, I guess Gaim isn't too popular in the A-S boards. :dunno:
I dunno if this is a good idea or not, but I just emailed the programmer, see if he'll tell me. It being open-sorce and all, I don't see a problem with it. :pchawk:
Those images that arn't in the pixmap dir, are stock gtk icons. Youcould change them by rebuilding GTK+.

I hav'nt used it in a while. I switched to Miranda. You can change EVERYTHING. Give it a look. I also tried to do this a while ago. I came to the conclution that it was probally
in the .exe
Miranda is kinda confusing at first. But I might use it if I can figure it out.
yeah, it can be confusing at first, but it's extremely configurable. you can always ask here or at the miranda forums.
well, I gotta miranda working and all, but there's a couple things I can't fiqure out. 1)Why there are no buddy icons
2)Can't see people's away message w/o IMing them
3) There's no "User is typing" indicator.
If those three were solved, I would switch to miranda because Gaim crashes:
1)When I put the mouse over a link
2) Try to modify an account
3) When I close Gaim (yes, it crashes and wants to send an error report by just closing it)
I guess it'll be a while till I'll be happy with an instant messanger.
yeah i tried miranda im but i couldn't stay because i couldn't see the away msgs and the buddy typing indicator
there should be a plugin for the away message.
the typing indicator is only available for msn right now. check out the srmm mod or the pop-up plugin.
buddy icons aren't implemented yet. it's "bloat" for some people.
