I Need A Good Multiplayer Game...

ok so do you guy sremmeber the days when you played starcraft online with a friend the whole summer? or what about diablo 2? neverwinter nights? quake and quake 2? i wont even mention MMORPGs like Evercrack. basically, there ahve been no revolutions lately. think of one revolution that you didn't see coming in 2003. I can't even think of one. Also, console games gained a LOT in 2003 while PC games lost.

Basically what i'm saying is i need a cool multiplayer game to play (for free over the internet unlike everquest) with a friend i always do that with over the summer. got ne ideas?

so far i have neverwinter nights' expansion in mind and unreal tourney 2004. but...i dont know...neverwinter nights is kinda older now and unreal tourney is instant gratification...its just not the same as diablo 2 or starcraft. got any ideas???

HALO, by Bungie & Microsoft Game Studios, would be a good idea if you are looking for the best FPS action there is. Both on the Xbox or PC/Mac.

You might also want to try games like GunBound. It's a Korean game, still in Beta Stage (That's why it's free), with lots of english-speaking users. The gameplay resembles that of the really well known Worms. Really fun.

HALO is awesome for pc! ur right. good multiplayer. but....i meant something more invigorating that keeps statistics. iw as thinking of finding some random nwn server or jsut starting my own. but thats been done so much. what else is there? starcraft kept stats. diablo 2 was free and kept stats..........

Delta Force Black Hawk Down :moon: Not the best game ever but its fun to play with friends and it got the number 1 best selling game in North America. Just a thought, depends on what kind of games you like.

Gunbound is such an addictive game.. But has the biggest collection of morons in a community ever. I think I actually talked to 2/3 people during 3 hours of playing, the rest were annoying idiots. It's a shame, it could be so much more fun..

And I recommend Quake III Area, Phantasy Star Online and, as said, Gunbound.

I used to be the king of games, I beta-tested Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. Anyways, Halo has some good online multiplayer action, Call of Duty's all good, and well, I don't really know what else is good...Stalker 2...

Battlefield 1942 - Desert Combat. This game rocks multiplayer :D

Just been playing it on our uni lan, 4 of us as coalition, with AI set as high as possible, and a 5:1 team ratio against us, and we still own them every time :D Still great fun tho!

steive, I can guarantee you that a week without posting is too long for such thing. Unless he actually spammed like nuts ignoring every single warning, then I'd do the same.

72 hours for such minor thing is the max i'd give. Trust me, i've been there.

I'm with es.xxi on this one. Play Gunbound, you'll get hooked and it tracks stats. You also get to purchase items for your character over time that also up your stats. I play from time to time still with my roommates if you want in on a game.

ehm....okay...MP-games....for me best game ever is quake3arena....but there are more to play...

err....not multiplayer but very very cool is star wars knights of the old republic...i played this one so long until i fell asleep on my keyboard !!

DC rules! Have you played the other mod for BF, the Eve of Destruction? It's also a wonderful mod about the Vietnam war and really addictive. And can help you to calm down until BF:Vietnam arrives. It worked for me! :P

Oh, do you people know some free online RPG? I heard about them but couldn't find anything.

Yeah, if you can go without multiplayer, then PLAY KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC.!!! I finished it saturaday after sitting without blinking for about 10 and a half hours :)
