Change Dock Background?

Just wondering how you change the dock's background? Is it possible without 3rd party software which I'll have to pay for?

1 stinkin reply and it's not even for the right OS.

I know there's more freakin real osx users at A-S, someone has to know if it's atleast possible.

(yes, i shamelessly bumped this back to the top of the new posts page. muhaha)

I'm a Mac OS X user, and I have looked through the Dock Preferences... but I couldn't see any options regarding the background of the Dock. Sorry.

I noticed that most of those "Haxies" claim to support Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar. What about us Mac OS X 10.3.2 Panther users?
