The Butterfly Effect

I personally like psychological drama movies and it’s a really good movie it proves that no matter what you can’t change destiny. Aston Kutcher played the part really well and it proves that he can play roles other than “Dude! Sweet!!” and those type of roles. And might I add Amy Smart is Hot (in a girl next door type of way :D ) they did a real good job of making her look like a really sleazy prostitute very good make up and scaring effect.

Any of you guys have any opinion of the movie?

first off id like to preface this by saying im too poor to see movies in theaters.

I dont think that kelso should ever try and act a serious intelectual type roll, its just wrong.

ok im done, take me outa the oven.

I watched the movie like two nights ago. Thinking it was going to be cheesy because I couldnt see Ashton being serious. Overall I like it though. It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be.

I bet this movie should have been good...but we'll see how ashton kutcher acts. i hope he does well...the movie has a very good premise.

Yeah, that's it! Kutcher's films have been disapointing, but I'll make sure to catch this when it's on cable.

I picked up the trailer off Apple's website. And I say it looks pretty interesting.

As dreamz had mentioned, chaos is a really interesting concept, especially so when the caption of 'change something, change everything' kept flashing throughout the trailer. It's really intriguing... I'd love to catch it, should it be screened in UK soon. ;)

The trailer... well... lately the only thing thats good with movies are the trailers... nothing more. Remember reload? or revolutions?

Anti-Matrix comment! You must be burnt!

It looks mildy interesting but from reviews I've seen people were dissapointed with the acting and/or unrealistic story. *Shrug*

#107151

Look at first I saw the reviews and I was doubting weather I should go see it and IMHO id give it a 3.5 to a 4 out of 5 :D GO See it!! :rule:

I saw it, good movie, ashton rocks

but the story is "naughty word" up somes times, so, in my opinion the realisator made somes mistakes with the story...

Some times the story is stupid,

example: at school, ashton go too bathroom, and 3-4 girls are there showing tits,

dont look like real life..

Ashton Kutcher = "Duuuude! That's aweeeeesome!" ~ Translation: "I'm a total moron, please kill me now!"

#108507

A little off topic here but Myuu "Teacher Please" is one of my favorite anime !

im going to have to disagree with a number of people here:

1) Ashton Kutcher's acting skill is past the "duuuuuude" level now with this movie. I thought it was gonna be awful, but he's growing up.

2) very interesting, very awesome. i missed the very first 5 seconds about the chaos theory, but i caught on and loved the movie.

3) i didnt like the very end (i wont ruin what happens), but i thought about it for a second and i understand why his character did what he did. (i dont mean the thing in the past, but if youre not sure what i mean, PM me).

4) definetly a movie i can discuss with my mom (we've discussed stuff like The Matrix and Memento)

may be you are too young  but this movie definetly is forgettable... Perhaps you haven't seen enough to judge if a character is well interpreted or not. In this case Ashton Kutcher is a bloated/overvaluated actor because the MTV (not only because punked). He is 'perfect' to teens, because he is a model??. I dont know...

If you wanna discuss with your mom about something, I recommend 21 grams. Thats more like memento, and a lot, by far, good acted (the actress and the actors there are... pfff... excellents). There you will find out why the most of the ppl thinks that Kutcher is a wanna be and nobrains teens target.

Damn I get tired of this butterfly crappy movie, and Im the one who post more on this thread...

I dont think you should bash the movie becuase of the actor IMO I think it was a really good movie but it still cant top out the Matrix Trilogy. nuff said (smith rocks :rule: )
