it sucks here is st louis... ice, ice, ice... tonight-snow, snow, snow-six or so inches... whoever says, "eww, it's so pretty outside, look it's snowing" doesn't have to get their lazy bon-bon eating ass off the dr. phil couch and go driving in it.

we don't have much snow here in evanston, but the university never closes school. the roads and walkways are pretty clean, but very slushy, which sucks.

at least i know that when it's snowing, it's not that cold.

We have a 30% chance of snow 2morrow, and 50% on wednesday. Unfortunately I'm in the smog capital of the UK (Middlesbrough) so the snow will probably be black :P

About two meters accumulation for the season here. That's melting, then snow, then more melting, then more snow since late December. Lately, more or less three days nonstop whiteout conditions. Soon as it lets up I'm boarding. :rule: :rule: POWDAH!!! Dig the attachment from yesterday. Can't see sh!t.

I'm from Texas, the Gulf Coast, and I just got back from that area, Chicago, IL -South Bend/Notre Dame, IN, and my fingers and toes are still thawing out.

I gripe about the weather down here - waking up with the heater on and going to bed with the A/C on, absolutely horrid humidity, and when it rains it pours - but now I know the pain of snow. ::shiver::

On a funny (or scary) note, I was sitting in line at a Taco Bell drive-thru around midnight one night while I was up there, and I have my head hanging out the window smoking and catching snowflakes and I look back and there is this little itty-bitty car that was going extremely too fast for the fact that the ground was covered in snow and ice. He gets right up behind my car and does a 360 and starts going back the other way and slides his car around again, heads off in another direction and slides his car in a few circles, coming to a stop, and starts it up again. WHY? What sadistic pleasure is there in skidding on ice?! You almost hit me! So I left, because I was scared of being hit, and the car in front of me was taking too long.

I used to like snow, before I actually had to deal with it that is. Oh, sure, it's pretty - but it's not fun getting in your car in the morning and it actually being colder in the car (and God forbid that first blast of cold air because you forgot to turn the heater off when you got out last night). It's not fun walking down steps and busting your ass in front of everyone. Yeah, I know, these are all classic snowy scenarious, and they are funny, until they happen to you.

::sigh:: Sorry for the rant, maybe someone found it amusing.

/EDIT - I forgot to mention one good thing about snow and the coldness - it helps prevent smoking. By time I got all bundled up to go outside to smoke, I was over the craving. /EDIT
