PS2, I'm into Sony.
Integrated DVD player, don't have to buy a remote to make it work, doesn't look like an alien nor a toaster, has great quality games on it and even though it came out before gc and xbox it still beats them nowaday. I'm not saying it's the best console Ever built, simply saying it's made of a great quality and so are Sony products.

THANK YOU! Someone at last points out the wonder that is Sonic The Hedgehog. Sega ruled the consoles until the released the Mega CD. Then it's all gone downhill. I mean come on, Sonic on a nintendo???

I choose SNES because that's the system I spent th e most time w/. Need to get another one though because I must have not stored it right; it didn't work when I tried it and I couldn't get it fixed.
Why should anyone be ashamed to pick SNES. The only people that shouldn't pick SNES are the people who just started gaming when the Playstation came out. SNES set the standards for video games. Mario RPG, the first true 3D game. Perhaps the best Zelda game (Wind Waker sucked, but won't go there). No to mention, perhaps one of the best control schemes, before the four type of controls on each controller came out. Anyone who even respects gaming should pick SNES.

you're like the only other person i know that had the jaguar... system cost about $600 i think at the time, the games were about $80... maybe thats why it didn't succeed?? what's the Megadrive?

I have a couple of friend that own one. And work also.
The MegaDrive. Wasn't that a Japan only thing?
After a thorough research (O.K., Googled and read the first hit), MegaDrive was Japan's name for the Genisis. Sega of America couldn't use MegaDrive ("Mega" for larger than current games, "Drive" for being associated with speed and power) because it was already trademarked, the settled on Genisis ("in the beginning").

Genesis. I hated Sega's marketing pitting the Genesis against the NES and such. I loved EA's games on the Genesis though as they were more fun to play for it compared to their SNES counterparts.
I hate how EA plays favorites. Just like now and their preference for Sony's PS2.

I can't believe you said true 3d and Mario RPG in the same sentence. It was isometric 2D with some mode7 graphics which where stilll 2D.
Wolfenstein 3D was more 3D than it and it came out at least 5 years earlier for one. Perhaps you are thinking of super mario64?
BTW Quake, another true 3D game was released the same year as mario64, so it wasn't alone in being "first". Actually Quake came out a month before Mario6 (japanese release, which is before US) making it the first.
