Hmm, I am the only one going for the middle left side. I like it there because I like to have iTunes on the bottom and they both clash because I have too many icons in the dock. And on the left because all of the Windows glyphs are on the right side and there is a possibility that I can click on something that I don't want to.

Another note, this is more like Aqua Disscussion. Not just ObjectDock, for Y'z and MobyDock also. And for the original Mac OS X too.

cant put my dock on the top edge of the screen, that space is reserved to the almighty apple

but on my PC i have 2 docks on the bottom middle and the left middle like wiz's choice...

Wow, I never thought of it like that. I guess I take for granted the fact

that I could run two docks on my pc if I so desired. Hmm...

Not too many developers out there putting together new docks for

the mac I suppose.

I think the fact that a huge amount of ppl (all but 2) place their dock's inthe middle proves that you are the odd ones :6

Its the default setting on a mac, and i think it looks nicest.

Well, bottom middle is the overwhelming leader. But, that begs the question: is it the winner because that's the optimal place for it or because it just looks nice down there? In other words, when the HID people at MS and Apple decided to make the taskbar (MS) and the dock (Apple) default to the bottom of the screen, was that mostly an aesthetic decision, or an ergonomic one? My opinion is that it was a mix of both. However, since these GUIs were developed (most likely) with Western hemisphere users in mind, left to right and top to bottom are the de facto standards for information retrieval and arrangement. Any other 2 cents?

i used to use bottom right, because when it was in the middle, it got in the way of the status bar in lots of my applications, but i use moby now and it doesnt have a setting that makes it stay on the bottom right
