Icon Spacing

It went to 0. now all my icons are stuck together.

what is the icon spacings for:

1. default

2. 128x128 icons

3. 64x64 icons

PLEASE HELP!

PS:

Vertical and horz. please. they are different right?

Sorry David, I can't help you with that one. I'm running 96x96 icons here on my desktop and my icon spacing shows up as 0 vertical and 0 horizontal on the Advanced Appearance properties.

I''m using PowerStrip to handle desktop icon placement though, so perhaps that's why I'm not having any problems.

As a side note though, does anyone know how to set icon spacing in the system tray?

I think I recall asking once before and got a "it can't be done" as the answer, which I'm not satisfied with.

If programs like ObjectBar and DisplaySet can do it, there *must* be a way to hack the registry.

David, there is no standard, it's personal preference as to your icon spacing.

Grusic, In order to space icons further apart, you could always create a toolbar with shortcuts.

As for increasing the spacing, I'm sad to report all of my attempts have been fruitless. I've been searching for that for ages. Virtual Plastic doesn't even have a section on it. Sorry.

Thanks. I looked all over Virtual Plastic, Google and any where else I could think of and didn't find a thing either.

I have a feeling that perhaps something can be done with Visual Styles, but I have not found the answer yet.

About the closest I've come to seeing anything that can do it natively, is a program over on ZDNet called "DisplaySet". And I think it does it by accident.

Everytime I have used it, I've noticed that my systray icons get bigger and are spaced farther apart, and yet Display Set has no visible option to tweak systray settings.

ZDNet has the source code available, it's Delphi 5, so I might down load and see what I can find out.

I found it!!! for default Icons use 43 in both vert. and horiz.!!!

can you guys send me icons for theese apps that are in 128x128 format:

MSN Explorer

3Dmark 2001 SE

Internet shortcut icon

Jedi Outcast SP and MP (seperate icons please)

Can be mac version icons or not. As long as they are in 128x128.

hey guys, this is the one thing left that i would like to do to my windows. I have tried also and dont see anywhere to set it.

i know that one time, when i was messing with icon sizes though, i changed them in regedit, and there was actual spacing atributes there, do they exist for the tray?

any more progress on this?
