Why Item Titles Keep Appearing On My Odv0.85?

anybody has this same problem with me?

while I tried thousands of times and many ways to avoid item title into appearance, it keeps still and no changes at all. (still on the head of the items) anyway, I didn't find this problem happened to the old v0.70.

so who can help me out of this?

so do you just not want a title over the icons when you go over them with the mouse? if i read that right then try typing in alt-255 or alt+0160 as the title.

I tried that, and whenever I try to type holding the ALT key plus the numbers, the box starts to move around. IIs that what you ment GUESShimself?? I would like to get rid of the titles on one of my docks also. I appreciate the help.

When using the alt codes for typing blank characters you need to use the keypad on the right of your keyboard and have numlock turned on. I've never gotten it to work with the row of numbers at the top of the keyboard, but I use it all the time with the keypad.

seem_xu: right-click on a dock icon and the Dock Item Properties box should pop up. There is a place there to change the title. Like dethblud said, make sure NumLock turned on and press and hold the Alt key then type 0160 using the keypad on the right side of the keyboard and then release the Alt key. a space should show up as the title. click "ok" and the mouse over the icon again. there shouldn't be a title above it any more. you'll need to restart objectdock once you've made all the changes you want so that they will be saved.

I still can't get that to work. No space is left when I do that. Any other suggestions ??

I have not installed OD v.85 but for v.70 & v.75 just deleting the text wil do it.

The Alt+ #### works on Y's dock and Mobydock.

there is no space but a '?' appear in the column after I carefully follow the alt+1060 instrucation. when I am trying to type alt-255, it works.

thx you guys for the help.

i just simply places spaces using the space bar, just one for each title and it worked fine. Does this not work for you??

On 0.85 the only way to work for me is the Alt + 0160 trick not "blank space" one...

On the ancient Allmighty 0.70 all work well, included de "blank space", the entire icon bouncing, not crash, but 0.85 own good new stuff, little pain for a lots of new things :D
