Alt Tab-esque Switching In Firebird!

ctrl-tab (instead of alt tab) switches in between tabs.

I don't know if people already knew this, but.. I've been wishing for it, and just stumbled upon it accidentally the other day.

Yup, and when you hover the mouse over a tab and scroll your scroller, they'll switch too ^_^

#103179

Wow.. Handy, I never noticed that! Thanks!

#103180

You'd need the tabbrowser extensions to enable tabs. (I think...)

Anyway, it just means that with tabs on, you just simply need to move your mouse cursor over the tab, and use the scroll button to scroll through different pages which you have kept open within the same browser window. ;)

And that's it! ^_^

#103197

Thanks... That helps alot... and & also works in other apps... :-)

#103198

Do you mean, Alt+F4 and Alt+Tab?

And, you're most welcome! ^_^

Edit: Ok, I get what you mean now. My mistake. :shy:

i tend to use ctrl + tab more than the scrolling.

but then sometimes, if i want to get to a particular page, i just do ctrl + #, where the # is the tab.

e.g. 3rd tab = ctrl + 3.

#103286

Ctrl+w closes the current tab too :D

Speaking of tabbbbing, I don't use keyboard at all. Gesture system!!!! :rule: It's soooo intuitive, can't live without it. I wish I could have gestures for everything in windows...

#103397

you can, pe7er, just click here

Just might add, in Safari, the shortcuts for Next Tab and Previous Tab are:

• Next Tab: SHIFT + Command Key + Right Arrow Key

• Previous Tab: SHIFT + Command Key + Left Arrow Key

Thanks rooskee, that's a neat little program. ;)

#103416

also for the people with scroll buttons on their mice, clicking down the scroll button while hovering over a tab closes it. (Y)

@rooskee: thats a nice little app!

#103469

wow, another strokeit user! i've been using that program for about a year now, and i love it. it's a great substitute for those fancier 5-button mice and it uses less than 200k on my machine. :D

#103481

hum ... :shy:

Have you tried Ctrl+scroll button on mouse when you are browsing a site ?

It's doing previous and next page ...

I have the tabbrowser extensions and mouse gesture installed.

PS : I like your community (Y)

#103486

its nice to know that i'm not the only one, dreamz. its possibly the most useful app i am running, since you can make your own gestures and set them to do just about anything for any application.

#103492

yeah, i thought i was the only one who discovered that gem. :D

playsk, ctrl + scroll changes font size for me, but then again, i don't have mouse gestures installed (strokeit is all i need).

#103497

@dreamz : I don"t really know what feature is doing that on my firebird but I have completely reinstalled it recently with this extensions and it's working like before.

But you know ... there are so many features available in it , who knows ? . Like you I love this high degree of customization :D

on the other hand if it's really the mouse gesture ....bah ... I just had to move my mouse left and right when pressing button : that 's easier than ctrl +scroll :banging: ( I.like.complexity.com lol )

#103513

hold right click and use your scoll wheel to scroll between tabs aswell (let go of right click to choose)

#103540

Fave Firebird command: Middle button opens link in new tab :) Simple i know... but Handy handy handy!

Cheers
