What is with the new slogan for iLife??
"It's like Microsoft Office for the rest of your life."
Does this mean that Apple has completely given up on AppleWorks or what? Doesn't make business sense to promote an app competing with in house work like that.
they're not saying that i don't think
they're trying to say
"ilife is as essential to your computer experience as is msoffice"
it would be silly of them to pretend that appleworks even competes in teh same markets as office.

They/He means that it's the perfect suite of applications for your personal and free time, like when you want to watch a slideshow of your holiday photos or listen to your favourite music.

i think thats what it meant. Notsure though 
anyways.. that's a horrible slogan.. <_< i can't believe that the ppl who inveted the temptation apple came up with that.. :6
I guess it just shows a certain form of acceptance between them?
Anyway, my opinion would be that Apple knows that their product range is appealing to a group very different from those using PC, and Linux. And knowing that MSOffice is so popular and very widely used, it's just used as an analogy.
Just that, I guess. 
MsOffice is the defacto office suite. Period. Apple chooses it battles wisely, which is a good business decision.
Yeah, that confused the hell out of me. I never considered MS Office essential for productivity. Hell, Im pretty productive without it.
However well meaning it was, I think they could have chosen their wording better. Especially for computer ****s, who dont know what MS Office is.

there are people that dont know what ms office is? i thought it was like the most common software of its genre(i dont know exactly what to call it)
MS Office owns apple works any day imo
