Hey there dock/aqua folks!
Downloaded LAUNCHkaos today… (http://www.pocketkaos.com/) and I got this great idea! Why not make a wonderful “LAUNCHkaos-Dock” = RuleDock, which I would call it!
Simple as this!
Like different tabs (Mozilla like) whit Internet programs, music, movies… or whatever you would like to have!
I’m not a programmer, but if someone out there has the skills, contact me! =D
Could this be possible?

Well I have some plans for my AveDesk application that basically should allow this using a specially written plug in. But this is a public forum so I can't give more "company-secrets"

I have not heard or seen this since I removed this from my hard drive back in...geez 1997, 1998?!?!
This was back in the day when I was a developer with gemini, making a competing app!!!

gnubug, what's wrong with launchkaos, is it a POS?
it looks like a pretty cool dock alternative to me...
The thing about Launchkaos is that it should be like a dock, all sweet stuff that a dock have... in LaunchKaos you have to click so much.. klick to have it apper, klick again for open a tab, and the klick on the program, sounds lika "startmenu" to me.. klick, klick klick klick...
What I want whith the dock is:
The tabs should have the option "display time" (like the dock have, autohide "disappear delay time, yz dock) Not that I use it, but it should be great for the tabs, so it don't change when you move the mouse around the dock icons.
One tab for Started programs.
The tabs are where they should be, under the icons. and the dock should be in the button on the screen.
I think a mix would be great!

I didnt mean it was a POS.
It is just very limited in functionality, you have to remember that this program started being coded in 1996, early 1997 if my memory serves correct.
As such, it was never meant to be like a dock or even dock-like. The Dock did not exist back then, when this was created launchers were all the craze much like the Dock is now.
The thing back then was to run a shell or a launcher as the windows shell, bypassing the memory leaks and the bloat that came with windows explorer/filemanger. It gained the top usage when win98 was released and the IE was brought into the explorer and everyone noticed a massive drop in overall speed of computer systems because of it.
Load win95b and all IE components and be amazed at the speed in which the computer runs.
Load win98 on same system and watch your computers performance drop by as much as 35% because of the injected IE into the Win98 system.
My post was by no means to infer that its a POS.
I was more shocked to even see it in 2004 thats all..

I can never get all the programs I'd like in my dock because of spacial limits — this would make a great solution, I reckon.

@ orange - how about making a thread in ObjectDock forum asking for this? This is a great idea and maybe Jeff would implement it!

Where is the Objectdock? (can't be in this fourm?, right?)
