Reflective 3d Software Box

Was looking at MobyDock and saw the cool image on the front page (MobyDock 3D software box)

Can anyone tell me what software was used to make this and if so, where I can get it. I have tried different ones (ECover Generator, Scott's BoxShot Maker etc) but none do flaps and the reflective bit with shadow (o... and also the CD).

Anyone care to tell me how they did it.

I did email mikegraphik (hotmail addy) as well as support email but got no reply - perhaps they are busy.

Surely there is an easier way to accomplish this without copying pics then flipping, mirroring or deforming them to get the required effect...?

I spent hours trying this with Paint Shop Pro but have not succeeded in doing it.

If I could get even a blank template of the box then it would at least help in me doing my own.

Ideas/suggestion anyone....?

you can either do this in a 3d software program 3dsmax, milkshape, lightwave, maya etc etc

or use Adobe Photoshop make each piece at a flat perspective then use the free transform tool to add the perspectiveness to each side, then use photoshp to add shadows or Dropshadows

if you have no experience in photoshop, dont epect to be able to do his by a click of a button most of the time, msot of it is hard by hand work.

Here is a simple type of box, no inside view or anything. By looking at it, it looks like to get the in side and flaps, use the shape tool with perspective or something else, building the box and use gradients to get the depth look. Then get the image that you want, and perspective it on the box.

just used that tut yesterday to make a dvd case looking graphic :)

didn't spend much time on it and it looks a bit rough, but still nice look.
