Yes it is possible !!
you have to right click the "object bar" text and then edit behavior! There is an check box called "use active Window text"
Is it possible to change ONLY the "object bar" and "desktop " text to finder so that it still shows the titles of all other active windows. ![]()
Yes i think this is also possible, i remember some screenshots of "crni" with "osxp" titled instead of ObjectBar !! but don´t know how to work it out....
perhaps i can figure it out this afternoon and post it here! Or crni reads this and tell us how to work it out.

i've already made it, download it here (right click and select Save Target As...)
about changing Desktop to Finder, i don't think it's possible :/
[EDIT] i succeed changing Desktop too (Y) same link...[/EDIT]
How do you edit the "desktop" title: OB takes it from Desktop folder label (editable, yes, but I don't think it's a good idea, coz it's a system folder)?

it takes everything from the active window, nothing is related to folders here...
the desktop window doesn't have a title, so OB must write something by its own when the desktop window is active. that string is the only thing i change in the modded ObjectBar.exe, it doesn't do any harm ![]()
thx a lot localhost, i've been searching for the way to do this for ages...
now objectbar has exatly the same behavior as the real mac os X top bar! (Y)
damn with this & you're iTunes mod you really making me happy
Yeah, ok: you're right, but can you tell me exaclty where I can change the string (by ResHacker): my version of OB it's newr than yours!!
Thanks
I have the latest version of ObjectBar (1.6) and it works fine with me!
@localhost: Thanks for the patch, this is one FANTASTIC add-on. I have been figuring a way to do this for AGES!
Scott
p.s. One thing I will say its probably better to turn this into a tutorial as this patch is a modified version of a registered ObjectBar and those with a trial version will therfore get a registered version, which makes this a 'crack' which aint allowed on Aqua-Soft I think this site gets enough legal attention ![]()
Hey, localhost! Thanks for this patch! You know me, I hate reshack ![]()
whoa.. I have been wanting this for the longest time.
I wasn't expecting anytihing when I asked but :woot: it IS possible.
THANKS localhost!!
the link isnt dead

Maybe I am blocked...It's of no use MMMM  Who could be kind enough to send it to me please? My Passport account is bbbear2002@msn.com.please!
It works like a charm, thanks a lot!
Could you tell us which things in the .exe you reshacked?
I think it was hex-edited not reshacked. ![]()
Well... whatever it was then. ![]()
I got my objectbar off of object desktop and my .exe is newer than his.
I don't know much about Hex Editing but I think you have to do is to open up the exe in hex edit, search for the string and then replace it with finder. ![]()
Thou it's probably not as simple as i make it to be ![]()
LocalHost, can you please update this to the newest version of OB?
i've already made it, i'll post it soon ![]()
did you repost it local? i just get a 8kb [content] file.
