Audio Recoring For Windows

I was just wondering if any know what the best, or easiest way to record sounds or dialog off of a DVD movie to use in a Windowblinds skin ?? I want to record some of the audio off of the Underwoeld DVD to use.

I appreciate any help or direction in doing this.

what you can do is rip the chapter off the DVD that has the dialog you want... now you'll have a VOB file... take that into virtualdub and i believe there's a option in the file menu to save the wav file. then you'll just be left with a large audio wav file. then whatever method you have of editing sound files can be used.

there are commercial programs available that can do it but like i said, commercial = $

The way I do it is demuxing through smartripper. This should give u an ac3 file (as well as others). Take the ac3 file and use heac3he to convert to wav. All of these programs are free.
