Anybody got the blue rotating e - globe, as an animated (22 or 38) gif?
Tried the 242 and 240 reshacks,... no luck.
So i'm just looking for a gif to pop into gpedit.msc
Thanks,............................... ![]()

Check out http://www.resexcellence.com/user_throbbers.shtml
They have a wide selection for you to choose from.
Yeah I know,... but probably because it's the default, no one seems to have the blue E that morphs into the globe.

I will be on a Mac in the next few days I'll try and ResEdit it out for you.
Thanks cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks man you are truly a great help.
(I had found that thread long ago though, I'm not one of those guys that immediately asks for help.
e.g. took me 35 mins yesterday to find out that when replacing an .avi in shell32.dll using reshacker, that in the name field you write AVI, then the number then the language.)
But, my question on this topic is this, I'm looking for a standard 22x22 and 38x38 BITMAPS of this animation.
The normal "windows flag" animation in XP, can simply be replaced by typing gpedit.msc in the run box.
Then under windows settings --> browser maintenance --> custom logo, you can put in a new logo,---->
This is where I want the bitmap to go.
My question is this... where can I find these files (just the aqua blue throbber actually) in 22x22 and 38x38 bitmaps ?
Or what prog can I download to convert a anim.gif to a bitmap. I remember looking 2 months ago and got nothin but ache. Drove me nuts, like theres no such program anywhere....
Can you help?
Resizing the bitmaps is a problem for me.

I do have the throbber 38 size in that other thread, but no 22 sizes.
Yeah but for those that want to just replace the windows flag through gpedit.msc they need to be in bitmap. I.e. "the long column"
I cannot convert it into bitmap. I don't know how.
If you could convert just the 38 one, then I could resize the bitmap to 22, that's no problem.
But we need the bitmap version.
Sorry to hassle you, but I cannot convert animated gifs into bitmaps.
No, The file in the download is a bitmap file. I am not sure if you downloaded it yet, but it is a .bmp file, which is about 1516x38 (long column) and you can use it using gpedit (i think).
In the zip file, there are bitmaps of it.
Thanks but gpedit.msc is lame 256 colors maximum, etc.
You must think I'm schizophrenic.
Don't worry about it <_<
