Changing Recycle Bin Icon

I have tried changing the recycle bin icon using resource hacker by replacing all recycle bin icons in shell32.dll. I created my own icon which contains all necessary sizes and resolutions.

But it seems that the recycle bin icon does not change on the desktop and only icon in empty recycle bin dialog changed, but also not exactly using the right size for it. it appears very jagged and even I can;t see what it is. <_<

I also have tried rebuilding, repairing what ever icon cache, still no luck.

someone help me please. thanks in advance.

p/s: and I already familiar with replacing system files stuff.

i'm not sure if you've tried this but if you go into the display properties you can actually change the icons of "My computer: My Documents: My Network Places: and the Recylce Bin (both full and empty)..

this is the really simple way of changing the icon without hacking through the shell

hope that's of some help.
