Not an incredibly interesting topic, but here it is anyway:
I just put about 20 gig of albums into an external drive, then set the iTunes Music folder in this new external drive so now it's "f / albums".
Anyway I deleted the old iTunes library in the 'My Music' folder on the c drive and restarted iTunes, so it's reading the new location and setting up the new library.
And, well, it has been doing that for about 45 minutes already.... and I'm just wondering.... since I have NOT set iTunes to organize my collection, what the hell is it doing that takes so long? (I know working through USB 1.1 is going to be much slower than through the internal HD, but still.... this is crazy.)
Check the picture below and you can guess how long it will take.
Sorry for this longish post, but maybe a couple of you have some idea?
