Well i decided to spring for the extra 400 dollars and bought a new ibook 800mhz g4, i was just wondering though if all you ibook owners could tell me how does this machine run games, and photoshop, and other more intensive apps, also how durible is the case, does it scratch easily?

Congrats on the purchase! As long as you max the ram you should get what you want out of it. The only game I have played on mine is one of the demos that came with it. It ran fine. I did try thps4, but before I had maxed ram. It ran ok a little glitchy but playable. PS CS runs nicely with 640mb ram. I have been working on a 30 mb file and it doesnt hesitate. It might be a little slower than my pc but again, usable.
As far as scratches go, it isnt too bad. It will scratch, yet im not sure how easily, but they are hard to notice, which is a good thing.

Actually Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 runs surprisingly well for a budget laptop, and the opther adobe, other professional apps etc. are optimized for the OS so they shouldn't really give you many problems. But if you are really into computer games don't buy the ibook, the g5 is the only real mac gaming system. 
There aren't any budget PC gaming laptops as wll so I'd go for the I ibook.
No I'm not planning on doing too much gaming on it just some if im bored...you know quake, unreal tournament at low res...maybe, but all in all im using it for web/graphic design, and everyday tasks.
