Vlc Media Player

I don't know if any of you have noticed, but a new version of VLC came out. This one supports directshow on Windows. So if you have a TV tuner card that is compatible, it can stream from it. I tried it out wiht my TV tuner and it works good. You can even stream the TV tuner card over a network like any other video.

Magpi that one is already outdated. They recently released a new version with a new controller designed by Max Rudberg.

It has a more iTunes like style.

Hopefully mimeryme will see this and do a port. He already has some experience with VLC skinning (see this topic) and does nice work.

If he agrees, he'll probably need some screenshots of the various button states, etc. Does anyone with a Mac want to volunteer? (Y)
