Error In Photoshop

I have this problem with Photoshop in almost all VS (except XP default):

Anyone can solve it? I'm using PS CS btw.

its how the themes are built.. i think its the small close button and reg close button.. you can fix it your self with stlyebuilder

im pretty sure its an error that cant be fixed, otherwise it would have been fixed by now, it happens in all apple visual styles that have the round close buttons etc.

in themes there are Two sets of buttons.

Caption Buttons & MDI buttons.. (the MDI Buttons are smaller and used for windows that have the "Tiny" title bars)

this bug happens because Photoshop, because the program calls for the regular minimize button, instead of the MDI Minimize button.

to retain the best look in OS X themes, most authors choose to keep the buttons "TrueSize" which means they will not be stretched in or out.

i personally find it odd that Adobe would use the correct MDI Close button, but not the correct MDI Minimize button..

i don't think this problem can be fixed entirely without sacraficing the accuracy of the title bar buttons..

Maybe someone should ask someone like KoL (his Luna mod) or Schmoove (in his Bluecurve) who have obviously figured out a way to make it work.

the reason those skins don't have this but is because they have more squarish buttons..

kol's aqua themes have this bug in them..

His Luna mod had the problem until I pointed out Schmoove's Bluecurve. He was able to fix it.

ok.. found a big difference in some aqua-skins, and skins that work with PS.

Caption buttons have 2 levels.

ImageFile (this would be the colour and shape of the button)

and

ImageFile2 - 5 (these are the Glyphs, the little "X" , "_" , etc )

to get the correct spacing between buttons,

aqua themes apply a transparent BMP (255 0 255) to the "ImageFile",

this gives a large button area that you can't see.

then the actual button you see is drawn using "ImageFile2 - 5". (where the glyph should be)

in early aqua-skins the glyph and button were seperate, as they are in XP, but the buttons were TOO large, so the above method was used to make the buttons the correct size, and spacing.

in Kol's Luna mod skin, the "ImageFile" contains a BMP that already has the glyph on it. and the "ImageFile2 - 5" are left transparent.

if the button size, and spacing are not going to be a problem, i'm sure this error could be addressed.

but to keep the buttons they way they appear and to fix PS, seems to be highly unlikely.

it's been done.... I thought that it was impossible myself, but i downloaded a theme long ago that had it fixed, i remember getting it in some asian forum. i tried to look in it to see what was different about it but I couldn't get to it and unfortunately i lost the them in a reformat :(. i think it might involve some reshacking

kol's response on this issue:

sometimes is not easy to fix that bug

that happen when the author make the sizing type of the caption buttons Truesize. He need to make it stretch and start playing with the captionbar height to avoid that bug.

Sometimes the caption buttons looks better if they are trusize

I have addressed this problem a while ago. Actually, a long while ago. There was one VS that I used that didn't heve this problem. I forget which though. I'll try a few and respond. It was a well know one here in the community. And once I find what it is, we could see how it's done and fix it. :D
