Did you click on the shortcut (on your desktop/quick launch system tray)? Try going exactly to c:\program files\internet explorer, and click on the IExplore.exe

If that still does not work..er.. either reinstall IE (somehow) or try another browser like MyIE2 (using IE engine as well)

There's a installation file of IE 6 on my HDD. Perhaps, you can search around the net for it using Google.

I think your IE has been corrupted. Please reinstall using WINXP recovery option or find a IE 6 Installer directly.

Alternatively, you can use another browser such as Mozilla Firebird, which support tab broswing and ad Popup blocking.

Since we're suggesting alternate browsers, here you can get IE3... or 4, or 5, or 5.5 running on your Xp without fudging up your IE6

unfortunately, that is too true. and it becomes easier the more times you do it. i have made a folder of all the stuff i need to install immediately. and a friend of mine has made a purpose of reformatting at least once a month, if not more. its somewhat funny
