Qtfairuse

Has anybody been able to successfully patch QuickTime (the newest version that comes with iTunes v4.2) with the QTFairUse patch?

It's not working, and supposedly it has worked for some as I discovered when I searched the web...

Just wanted to know. That was a big plus when using the old version of iTunes. I don't really wanna go through the trouble of downgrading.

Anyways...I phrased this as carefully as possible as to avoid breaking the "piracy/warez" rule, so please do the same if you decide to respond

It decrypts an aac file downloaded from an itunes music store, so you get rid of the copy-protection.

Oh well I couldnt tell you anything about it. I don't use the music store. And I don't plan on paying money for my songs

Isnt that illegal? Its obviously violating the TOS for itunes. You guys probably shouldnt be discussing this here.
